sheeats
WTF is the correlation between exorbitantly priced homes and hideous master bedrooms? Can someone please explain this to me?http://blogs.houstonpress.com/hairballs/20...nsive_homes.php
Highway6
That top home going for 12.9 million is only appraised at 5.7 million. Is that normal for there to be that much discrepancy?I realize that an owner can ask any price they want.. but over twice the amount. Wow, if he can pull that off and find a buyer. IronTiger
Page 14's master bedroom is particularly hideous. The office building home looks a little weird too.And oh, and on Page 17, it has that one we were all talking about, the one that was torn down for the land. There's a thread...somewhere. texas911
Love the office building. I could live in that. Who says a house has to look like a house?

Dan the Man
13 & 14 were in Architectural Digest a few years ago. Shortly afterwards I decided to cancel my subscription because most of the homes featured were similar in nature to the ones featured in this thread. If I had unlimited funds, I'd want something completely out of the ordinary. I would purchase one of the empty 1950s skyscrapers in Midland, TX. The top floor or two would be my living quarters, and the rest would be used as storage, workshop/studio space, or exhibit space for my collections of art and antiques. I'd also have a few floors devoted to my company's office space. The parking garage would house my collection of classic automobiles. IronTiger
how about this: Yeeesh! The bridge looks pretty tasteless. Reminds me a bit of the List Mansion. That house is going to smell like MOLD almost instantly!
