sabasushi
I'm looking for recommendations for a good dentist in the Montrose area or nearby areas. The thing is, I don't have dental insurance, so I need somoene that is reasonably priced. No overpriced boutique dentistries or anything like that. :-) (Just to be clear, I'm not looking for a free or low-income clinic, since I'm not poor.) Thanks in advance. VicMan
This is near Montrose, but not in it: University of Texas Health Science Center operates the Dental Branch in the Medical Center area: http://www.db.uth.tmc.edu/This page talks about the student clinics and how to become a patient: http://www.db.uth.tmc.edu/clinic-pat/Patie...ion/geninfo.htmAFAIK this is one of the cheapest dental options in the area

I had made a mistake going to one dentist that turned out to be expensive -- she charged twice what my last dentist in Colorado had charged. (Hence my crack about overpriced boutique dentists. :-) )
Native Montrosian
I've been going to Daniel Markham for about 20 years now. 2777 Allen Parkway in the American General Center; phone number is 713-523-6807. (Didn't even have to look it up! ) Their cost on the Dr. Oogle site is listed as "moderate". Office isn't spartan, but it's definitely not a tooth boutique - just good basic dental care. They might work with you as well regarding financing.
sevfiv
Not in Montrose, but kind of near - a few from my family go to George Sayre at 3400 Bissonnet (next to Channel 13). I went to him for several years when I was younger and will probably start going again. The Dr. Oogle site lists the cost as moderate also. sabasushi
Thank you, folks, so much for the recommendations -- I"ll look into those 2.Also, have anyone ever visited Dr. Arthur Grove at 1909 S. Shepherd or Dr. Angie Dinh at 3425 S. Shepherd? I grabbed these off Google Maps and looked them up on Dr. Oogle.
sunsets
Just FYI, the Dental Branch also offers UT Dentists, which is a professional office staffed by faculty from the school. It is NOT the student clinic, it's a "real life" dental office. They're very good.
