iFest 2009: Ireland

Your specifically mentioned taco wagons & a Mexican band when complaining that the "French" International Festival was insufficiently French. Just a coincidence that you singled out that ethnicity?

I don't think you understand the word "coincidence." All I did is state what I saw. There was a Mexican band playing at the time. I saw Mexican food for sale. I don't choose the bands that play or the food served at the festival.

The Festival does offer more variety than that. When did you last attend?

As I stated earlier, the last time I attended was when it was the French theme. I stopped going because every year was the same thing with little adherence to the alleged theme.

It's not The Perfect Festival. I agree that it was better when it was free; even though tickets are reasonable, the "feeling" was more pleasant. But some of us Houstonians will be able to eke out a bit of enjoyment. Especially since, all too soon, it will be too damned hot to do much of anything outside.

I wasn't living in Houston when it was free. It's a shame it changed.

Don't begrudge us our meager pleasures.

I don't. I don't understand the sarcasm and hostility, either.
