editor
http://www.shedworking.co.uk/2009/02/nine-...t-3d-model.htmlFrom BoingBoing:Michael Jantzen designed a house (using Google SketchUp) with nine-square feet of floor space. It has room for a lavatory, sink, heater, bed, chair, fold-down table, and storage. Where does the bed go? In the loft, which is part of the overhanging porch.Parent: http://www.tinyhousedesign.com/
sabasushi
Interesting design. But I think it needs a little work -- as one of the YouTube commenters mentioned, it looks too much like an outhouse with a porch. If the porch area was enclosed, the design might make more sense. texas911
It would have been even more efficient if it were just a box.
crunchtastic
I think the porch area is key to the design, especially for a warm climate. It gives you a floor and a roof, so you can spend daylight hours outside, cook outside, etc, use a sleeping porch on mild nights. I might enclose it against bugs, but that's it.
