debmartin
anyone know how long this show has been around? i think maybe since the 70's but maybe it's not that old. anyway, tonight modest mouse is on and their music is something i've enjoyed for years. i seem to remember kinky friedman on here as well, and he's trying to be the next gov of texas, so the show must have star launching quality.deb martin
Heights2Bastrop
Willie taped the pilot show in 1974, and the series began in 1976. It is now 30 years old.
TJones
You could say it has launched a couple of people. Stevie Ray Vaughn, but he was already pretty popular in the local sense. One of my favorite bands, The Pixies, have played. ColdPlay has been on. Pretty much any alternative rock that is mildly famous has been on that show. http://austincitylimits.com/default.aspxThis is even BETTER:http://admin.online.pbs.org/klru/austin/in...0&Itemid=76LOL GEEEEZZZ, this was 3 years ago. What rock have I been under. Edited June 17, 2008 by TJones
west20th
Favorite Austin city Limits shows. SRV, John Prine and the Cowboy Junkies. Wasn't there a project for releasing some ACL DVD's?
