kylejack Posted January 30, 2009 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Okay, so Galveston Island State Park and other park facilities on the island are closed until at least March. Does anyone know of somewhere down there that will currently allow me to pitch a tent for a night? Beach would be nice, but not crucial. I'm going to be going down to the south side via Lake Jackson and etc. so something along Bluewater Highway or by Surfside Beach is fine too. I don't mind paying a fee to camp. Yeah, I know I can get a hotel room, but the prices are kind of radical in Galveston right now due to Ike, and frankly I would prefer the tent.
