Anyone still play this Texas domino game?

My parents were avid players as were many of their friends and contemporaries.

I learned but don't play it regularly.

Could be another dying Texas tradition.

I dunno, I bet they're still playing it in East Texas. My grandparents taught me, and I'll teach my daughter. It's a great game.

I'd never heard of it. For others in the same boat, here's the Wikipedia article.

It's a great game. It's like trick-based card games (like Bridge and Hearts), but made more interesting because either side of a given domino can be its "suit", depending on the context of a hand. For instance, a 6:1 domino is a lousy 6, but a great 1. It takes some skill to figure out the strength of a hand given all of the possible ways it could be played.
