RedScare
Though it is not even a Tropical Depression, much less a full blown hurricane, this disturbance in the Caribbean has the computer models aiming it at Texas, so I thought it would make a good excuse to crank up the 2008 season thread.Computer modelsOh, and the SciGuy, Eric Berger, who is a bigger geek than CDeb and I are about gas mileage, is blogging about it, if you are interested.SciGuy Edited July 19, 2008 by RedScare
plumber2
Oh great!. This should be enough news to run the price oil back up.
CDeb
I could use the rain As of 7 am (NHC): SATELLITE IMAGES AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATE THAT THE TROPICAL WAVE IN THE WESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA HAS NOT BECOME ANY BETTER ORGANIZED DURING THE PAST SEVERAL HOURS. HOWEVER...ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR THIS SYSTEM TO BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION OVER THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 15 MPH. INTERESTS IN THE NORTHWESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE YUCATAN PENINSULA SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF THIS SYSTEM.

EastEnd Susan
Has anyone downloaded the 2008 storm tracker from Harris county flood control district? Very nice. It even has history on older storms.
