At one point I lived in a 1905-vintage house in the Heights that would have been a good candidate for this show. The house had a storage room and a basement (a Houston rarity) that were both filled with stuff that people had left over the last 90 years. There was an old sewing machine, telephones, a barber chair, stained glass, newspapers, an huge stuffed swordfish, you name it. On the gross side, there were jars of some food that had been canned in the 1930s that we were afraid to go near. You could spend hours just looking at everything that had accumulated.
