Timnwendy
So I'm considering getting a sealant put on my driveway, since it's pretty new and it seems like the right time to protect it. I'm a novice at this, and I have a couple of questions for you HAIF experts:1. Is a sealant really worth it? 2. Is one type of sealant process (example: dynacrete) superior to others, or are they all about the same?3. What is a reasonable price for it? For example, I was quoted $2.50 per square foot by Seal Southwest. Is that price reasonable? Thanks for your help.
silverartfox
Question: If you have a concrete driveway, why would you need a sealant? Folks in other parts of the country put sealants on asphalt driveways, but a new concrete driveway in Houston??? That money could be put to better use on something else. plumber2
Just drive on it.
RedScare
Since it rarely freezes here, there really is no justification for paying to seal a driveway, other than perhaps aesthetics. If you don't own a beater that drips oil on the concrete, then $2.50 psf sounds like a waste of money.
