Fiberglass Cow On Cullen Blvd.

There's a fiberglass statue of a black cow, probably at least five feet high, by a dirt road off Cullen just south of the Clear Creek bridge. The cow is held in place by a square iron frame, and is looking somewhat the worse for wear. I seem to remember that it was maybe marking some kind of restaurant or events venue, but now there's no sign and the road is gated. It goes back into dense woods.

OK, Pearland long-termers. What is or used to be back in those woods?

If the storries I have heard are correct it marks the entrance to a bar-b-que place. But here's the rift, its like a place you can get catered parties at, not a regular resturant. Apparently it is or was run by Clyde Drexlers Uncle. The Uncle had a bar-b-que place farther out Cullen around the area where the cemetaries are but it burned down years ago. The cow was out there. After many years it was moved to its current location from wherever they were storing it. Clyde's mother lives in Pearland and his oldest daughter graduated from pearland HS in 2004. A lot of his family live in the area as Clyde graduated from Sterling HS which is right up Mykawa Road from Pearland.

It's definately not a cow from the cow parade of 2000 becasue those were all the same just painted different and this one is a different breed and a different shape.
