RealEstate
HKS? I was under the impression that Morris Architects was the one who was working the design for the Redstone Project. Alright, don't take my word for it, see a shot of the mortgage package below confirming HKS as the project Architect. Bam.

TheNiche
Update from Nancy:The Redstone Cos. tore down the 1960s-era Compass Bank Building at 2200 Post Oak earlier this year, but the tight-lipped company still won
Urbannizer
On this site, the first seven images say 'Post Oak' 'Mix-use development' in the lower left corner. Im thinking it has something to do with The Perennial because Water Mark Design Studio is the Interior Designer.WaterMarkDesignStudio Edited June 29, 2009 by UpuPUp! lockmat
Dude, that's excellent! Was everyone else under the impression that was just one building, not two?I'd be more excited if the economy wasn't the way it was. For all we know, this is dead dead dead. I'm sure we can bet on the 2011 delivery is out of date, but then again, aren't they always anyway? Ringo3Khan
...and you don't want me driving y'all crazy.you da man, thanks!I remember someone saying whatever would be built there was gonna be "big." Hmmm...Other than that, I'm not real sure what to say. It isn't horrible but it's not exciting either."It isn't horrible but it's not exciting either"; my thoughts exactly; another angular glass structure. KristinDaugherty
I work in One Post Oak Central; my office window faces the Transco Tower, and I can see the back of the Canyon Cafe and Abraham's Oriental Rugs from here. So this building will literally be built before my eyes. Intriguing!
LTAWACS
You see? Why can't this be built in midtown?! Someone needs to tell them the light rail would look awesome making a stop at the base of this thing.

Urbannizer
From Golyadkin on SSP:I live across the street and down about a hundred or so yards from the site, and in the mail today I received a Notice of Variance Request, apparently because I fall within "the Chapter 42 required notification area".From what I can gather through the bureaucratic jargon, Terra surveying Company has asked for a one foot building line along Post Oak while the ordinance requires a 25 foot building line. It references the area as "Perennial on Post Oak Subdivision".The details of all of this are not really my interest. What I really care about is that things are actually moving to get this thing built!Link
lockmat
From Golyadkin on SSP:LinkOne foot? That doesn't actually mean a building will be one foot from the street, does it? It must mean the landscape or something.Ask him to scan and put the copy online.
photolitherland
^Someone asked him, hopefully he sends the letter. Id love to see this thing built! Edited January 3, 2011 by photolitherland
Urbannizer
Bam. They are different sizes because my fiance's scanner auto-detects the size of the page and I can't figure out how to make it stop doing that. The text being slanted wasn't me, it actually came from the city like that. And on the map page, the small text is impossible to read in person as well.
