At first I thought that was roadkill, but it appears to be still alive?

Was he injured?

Looks to be pretty well-fed.

BTW, there are/were Coyotes all over the place here. They and the other nature that still resides in the area use the creekbeds to travel.

Poor guy is losing his habitat.

roadkill, he had been dead a few days when I took the pic.

We have coyotes off Mueschke Rd close to 290. Last time I heard them was probably about 4 weeks ago. It is getting less often though. They have had several of our barn cats for dinner over the years.

In-Laws have Coyotes south of the Woodlands in Harris County near FM 2978 real bad. They are active right now and were howling last night. They have lost 3 cats to them over the last few years.
