WheelNut Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 I found this while looking for something else.http://www.boblowery.com/neighborhood_details.php?nID=4792LAND: Buc-ee's has purchased 5.1 acres at U.S. 290 and Mueschke Road from Mueschke Properties. Quote
Vertigo58 Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Glad to hear the buck-toothed little varmit is on his way. Delicious slurpee's! Quote
jimcas Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Glad to hear the buck-toothed little varmit is on his way.Delicious slurpee's! That's the most exciting news I've heard since.... ok I'm not excited. SUCK-EES. Quote
Trae Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Buc-ees is like an oasis going out to SA. They have signs for it starting in Louisiana. Quote
mrfootball Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 "Beef Jerky Time!""Want some Beef Jerky?" Quote
cnote Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 We still stop at the Buc-ees in Giddings anytime we are going to or from Austin. The beef jerky is really good, though expensive. Also, the little pies and other baked goods aren't bad...as far as filling stations go, this is a good one I guess... Quote
houstonartstudent Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 the new one in Pearland was pretty cool...I was able to order a milkshake via touchscreen while pumping my gas...although I cancelled it once I found out how much they were about to charge me Quote
houstongirl Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 We like the beaver nuggets. OK, not really.... but we love the name! Quote
mrfootball Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I actually saw a car with an I (heart) Buc-ees bumper sticker today at The Woodlands Mall. Quote
houstongirl Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I actually saw a car with an I (heart) Buc-ees bumper sticker today at The Woodlands Mall.I see teens wearing Buc-ees shirts about once a month. In fact, we saw a guy wearing one at the grocery store while in Baton Rouge this weekend. Quote
tomv Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I've recently been introduced to Buc-ees through my business travel to outlying towns such as El Campo, West Columbia, Alvin, etc... They are very impressive. Clean, spacious, well stocked, friendly and attentive service. Their bathrooms are phenomenal. Contrast that with a local gas station/store that I stopped at recently on 59 towards Victoria. They had a big sign on the way to the bathrooms that read RESTROOMS FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS ONLY. I used them anyway, without buying something. Gee thanks. I won't come back, don't worry about me! I thought the idea was to have traffic into your store. I guess these geniuses know something the rest of us don't. Quote
cynative Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 It looks like the gas tanks went in today for Buc-ees at Mueschke and 290 !!!! Quote
scottf Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 "We're against anything that harms Beavers" Man, I love Buc-ees... Quote
BryanS Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 ...there's one on the way to Austin... I don't understand the obsession with this place... PACKED. I think their logo is kinda like those logos on kid's cereal... it mysteriously draws you in. Forget Starbucks (stock)... buy Buc-ees, if they ever go public. Quote
20thStDad Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 The one by SCR by my office is the best lunch place around there. Doesn't say much about the rest of the crap available around there. Always the cheapest gas too. My favorite thing about Buc-ee's is the billboard the have way the hell in Louisiana that says "only 280 more miles [to Buc-ee's]...you can hold it!" Quote
bridgeland guy Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 It looks like the gas tanks went in today for Buc-ees at Mueschke and 290 !!!!Which corner is it going in at? I thought maybe since they are building one in Waller they were not going to build this one. Quote
cynative Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 The gas tanks were on the Northwest corner of 290 and Mueschke. I wrote them a while back and they said they were trying to make it happen, whatever that may mean. I am wishful thinking that the tanks mean it is going to happen. I didn't know about one in Waller - where is it? That doesn't make too much sense only 20 miles away; so maybe I'm wrong and it's just a regular gas station. That would be a pity. Quote
Trae Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 (edited) They are building one near Conroe, too. The one going to San Antonio is always packed. Edited May 11, 2008 by Trae Quote

hbcu Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 the shell station does super business with its bbq restaurant.....bucees wants a piece of the action and its on the northeast corner of 362 and 290 Quote
sweetbasil Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 And for my first post, perfect....DH is going to be thrilled when he hears this. He has the shirt, sings Buc-ees' praises, and isn't much for unnecessary compliments in general. I was at the one in Luling this week, and the signs all around cracked me up. "Your Throne Awaits! Clean Restrooms Ahead." There were three employees arranging artwork in, get this, the bathroom. Like it is sold (it is for sale, BTW) so quickly they can't fill the spots fast enough. Good service, great selection, cleanest place *ever*. Very cool news. Quote
cynative Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Yippee!!!The sign is up at Mueschke and 290.It's really happening!! Quote
hbcu Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 that little road has to be improved.....I was on it this weekend and same fate as old spring cypress eventaully Quote
cynative Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 that little road has to be improved.....I was on it this weekend and same fate as old spring cypress eventaullyThey have already started moving the trees in the easements and the utility poles have been moved also Quote
txroberto Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Bucees and Ron Paul make me proud to hail from Lake Jackson. I grew up down the street within walking distance from the original Bucees on Oyster Creek Drive and Old Angleton Rd. Quote
mrfootball Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 (edited) I love Ron Paul and I love freedom, Buc-ees I'm okay with but a bit indifferent as I'll probably go to the one in Luling more than I will the one here. Edited June 8, 2008 by mrfootball Quote
Trivandrum Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 The Buc-ee's location on Highway 290 and Mueschke Road in Cypress will also feature a state-of-the art car wash just like their store in Lake Jackson pictured below. Car washes will also be built at the new Fort Bend County (I believe on Crabb River Rd. & Hwy. 59) store, and at their Pearland store on Hwy. 288 and Shadow Creek Parkway, which has been open for almost a year now. Buc-ee's is also building new stores in Wharton on Hwy. 59 and in Madisonville on Interstate 45. Once the Madisonville store is completed, it will take the throne as the largest Buc-ee's store. Yes, larger than the Lake Jackson, Luling, & Pearland stores. I know, I can Quote
20thStDad Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Finally! Every time I get gas at the Pearland one I think to myself, this place is perfect, except for the lack of a car wash. And of course location. Quote
