Robert21979
The master bedroom in my home has a raised(15ft) ceiling, therefore there is no attic above the bedroom. This room is always warmer than the other parts of the house due to this. Does anyone know of anything that can be done to help conserve some energy in this room? I've heard of some type of insulating paint that helps but I always thought that paint was for the attic not for an actual room/ceiling paintAny advice? musicman
a roof that reflects heat might help. may i ask how old the house is? if it is older i could see you removing the sheetrock up there and beefing up the insulation.
TJones
A REAL radiant barrier might help, I am talking about the foil type stuff developed by NASA . You will have to peel the roof though. You could peel your drywall, but the roof is alot less expensive to do. Don't fall for the Radiant Barrier Paint, that stuff is a scam. Here is some light reading.http://www.radiantguard.com/index.asp?Page...Custom&ID=
