A ship in the Thames named Queen Mary. Random building. Royal Air Force memorial. The Royal Stock Exchange. Saint Martin-in-the-Fields (great gift shop in the basement). Random building. The famous Shell-Mex House. We need more buildings with clocks. The Swiss embassy. The Tate Museum. A ship in the Thames converted to a bar. It's called Tattershall Castle. The London Eye Tower 42. I think this was London's first skyscraper. Vauxhall Bridge. Can't see it without thinking about Morrissey. Bus station in Vauxhall. I thought this was just a random office building. Then I found out it's Vauxhall Cross -- the headquarters for MI6. The pretty green glass withstood an almost point-blank rocket attack a back in the 90's. The Willis Building, under construction, curves around the Lloyds of London Building. I think it's done by now. Apartment buildings at Saint George Wharf. A club called the Hippodrome. Hotel Sofitel. Hungerford Bridge. The cable-stay beidgelets flanking it are new. They hold up the pedestrian spans since there wasn't room for people on the main span. Random building. The borough of Lambeth. The floors sound like a 1980 data center. I have some cool pics I need to post of the lighted entry bricks. I'd love to do that with my patio. Each brick had a light source. I'd love to see them.I've promised myself that some day I'm going to spend a month or two in England visiting all of the art deco/moderne buildings featured in the Poirot TV series.
