editor
I've created a photo gallery of pictures of the inside and outside of the Lloyd's of London building in London (duh), England. This is the skyscraper that was built inside-out. All of the stairwells and pipes and service conduits are on the outside of the building so that the inside can be a massive atrium. Here's a few of the pics:
gwilson
I love this building. It, along with the egg next to it.
editor
I don't really like the building very much. I might if it was in a different location, but it's just wedged in too tightly with everything else, so there's no good angle to view and appreciate it. The result is it feels like there's a crane holding a wrecked car over your head when you walk by. This was the first time I'd seen interior pictures. Now THAT I like. I think the inside space is great, especially since it's one single company occupying that whole atrium.
gwilson
I haven't had the joy of visiting yet.I hope to make my first international trip to the UK within the next year or so. We'll see.
editor
London was my first overseas trip, too. It's a good choice mostly because it's used to tourists, and the language barrier is pretty low.
Mark F. Barnes
London was my first overseas trip, too. It's a good choice mostly because it's used to tourists, and the language barrier is pretty low. Unless you are from Alabama!
