Guest Plastic
Where does the Heights start and end? I'm trying to find out precisely where the Heights is. Is it along Heights Blvd North of I-10 or South of I-10. Does it go all the way to 610 by Northwest Mall? Does it go West all the way by Memorial Park? DaTrain
Times like this I wish Heights would go back to being its own city as an enclave. tsk tsk tsk, that's what Houston city boundaries do to U: swallow your town whole. Othern than that, its more informative.
tanith27
Woodland Heights here:http://www.woodland-heights.org/images/W-H-Map-large70.jpgSome die-hards go strictly by boundaries, and yes by definition there is only one Houston Heights, but I think the area generally accepted as the Heights is somewhat approximated by I-10 to the south, I-45 to the east, 610 to the north, and Shepherd to the west. Approximately.
SaintCyr
Can someone tell me why there is a strip (along Yale from 11th to ???) right inbetween the 2 historic districts? Just curious, did they leave it open for commercial development or.....?D
plumber2
The original boundry still has some quirks. Try buying beer at the convenience store on Yale St., Sorry...you'll have to go four more blocks to purchase your suds and then you must drive back in with your contraband and try not to corrupt the neighbors.
