moni Posted May 17, 2007 Share Posted May 17, 2007 Going to the beach isn't always about the water though. Some people just go to get away and lay out. Plus, many of those people are crazy or used to it anyway. I know when I live in the LA area, I could only stand the water for about 15 minutes. Once my body basically went numb so it wasn't too bad. The sucky part about their beaches is that it gets overcast too often, so then it's cold in and out of the water.hahahaha - too true! Also, another thing, if the water in the southern California waters ever did warm up, the sharks would come in and make it impossible for anyone to play in the water. Once in a while, the water warms just a little and watch out, here come the sharks. Also, if you don't mind losing a limb, just go ahead, play in the Florida waters, lol. No sharks in Galveston!
