Hello Team:

Just a quick question:

What's the tallest building above sea level in Houston..??

I'm not sure if it will be the Williams Tower over the Chase Tower in Downtown because the Galleria area is higher (ASL) than Downtown. I am correct...???

Thanks.

Well the three tallest buildings built on land including their above sea level elevations would be

Chase @ 1002" + 50' el. = 1052'

Wells Fargo @ 992' + 50' el. = 1042'

Williams Tower @ 901 + 99' el. = 1000'

I am a font of useless information.

Bank of America Plaza, Dallas: 920' @ 423' elevation = 1346'. The tallest in Texas. :)

Ok, if we're gonna get technical, then the Tower of the Americas in SA would be the tallest at 1400'. When you add in the tower's 750' height and the elevation of SA at 650, you get a total height of 1400'.

isn't adding elevation to building height kinda silly? (kinda, as in, absolutely)

If not, the "tallest" buildings are all of the buildings in Colorado (lowest elevation is 3,350 at the Arkansas river)... or maybe a few tents on the side of Mt. McKinley, et al.

I've heard a couple of silly arguments that Wells Fargo is actually in a spot that is more than 10' above the elevation of Chase, making Wells Fargo the highest point in DT, or something silly like that. could be true, i guess, but still silly.
