  1. Like when Frank saw Blue in Heaven after his unfortunate passing during the KY wrestling match.

This must be over my head or somethiing because I have so many questions...

Who's Frank? Who's Blue? Who passed?

    A KY wrestling match?

    Or a KY wrestling match?

Or maybe they're the same thing?

I'm so confused but oddly intrigued...

  2. Dickeys is a chain, so humongous that I saw one in Vacaville, California last week.

I tried it.  I was not poisoned.  I also had no joy.  It is a chain BBQ place that fits in perfectly in suburban hell.

Small world. I'll be in Vacaville in 3 weeks for a wedding. And no I won't be eating at the Dickey's.

Also the last time I was there my friends took me to a Mexican restaurant called Chevy's. I ordered Queso to start and they looked at me cross-eyed. Apparently they don't serve Queso there. I was appalled!

  3. The idea is exactly that you would transfer from the upper car into the train below after the car is picked up. It would be very simple. The upper car would lock into place above a fixed stairway and a hatch would open in the bottom of the upper car (and the top of the lower car and you would walk down or up the stairs. To limit chaos there may be one ramp for up and one for down. They would have to be timed to open and allow movement within cars between stops. For safety they would have to close automatically with ample time for riders to transit between and then lock out any late-comers.

I in no way think this would ever happen in this country. But I think it's a very neat idea. I hope China attempts it so I can check it out some time.

  4. There is a Chinese engineering idea to run trains that don't stop but rather pick up filled cars as they pass a train station. It's pretty ingenious.

The cars sit on a second level platform and travelers load into them. Then the train comes by underneath and catches the car filled with passengers. The passengers head down into the train and the empty car is left at the next stop after picking up the full car.

There is a cool video on YouTube. I'll try to post it but I'm not sure it will work.

  5. This is and has been my favorite project going up in this city in the current cycle. Growing up near Chicago my idea of a ballpark and associated neighborhood will always be Wrigley and Wrigleyville in Chicago. It has such a great vibe, is pedestrian friendly, has a fantastic collection of old brick buildings that are used for pubs, restaurants, apartments, etc..., and almost no surface parking (everyone just rides the train to the games). The area around Minute Maid can never be the same but I feel like this project along with the many other projects going up around the park can lead to a modern version of a vibrant urban ball park neighborhood. I'm so glad this is turning out to look as great as I hoped it would.

  6. i feel bad that she has clydesdale sydrome which i wonder if that is hereditary...i bet its hard to shop for shoes, speaking of which...the poor lady on the right wore bedazzled flip flops so you know there had to be all kinds of dirt and rocks between her toes  People really need to dress appropriately for events, unless of course this was a surprise party of some kind...

edited to add that i truly feel for the middle lady who braved said event despite her feet being wrapped in some sort of orthopedic brace...
