  1. I noticed a couple commercial trucks were parked in the middle of the East River development yesterday. In Section 1 where the warehouse is , workers were moving equipement around, possibly taking soil samples?
  2. I spoke to someone who works for the Greater East End District, and he told that phase 1 will start in late October, early November. Phase 1 consists of utility improvements, landscape improvements, and improved lighting is what I've heard. No mention about bars or restaurants for Phase 1 unfortunately.
  3. From Houston BizJournal: Update: The developer is about three months into the design process on the second, taller, tower — a phase two of the project that can be seen in the rendering on the opposite side of the building. Provident does not have an official height yet, however, Platt says the tower will be at least 20 stories above the nine-story garage.
  4. How ridiculous. I remember when they wanted to be open for the Final Four. Whoever is overseeing this project is doing a crappy job.
  5. On the corner of Dallas and Hutchins the building that is all boarded up, I noticed that there appears to be some renovations being done. Anyone know what the plans are, and what the building used to be?
  6. It looks like they are a putting a sign up for Phoenecia...but I still haven't heard anything on when it will actually open
  7. I drove past Epicurean Express today, and there is a now open sign out front. I'm glad to finally get a grocery store in this area even though it is small. I will go in today and see if they actually carry anything useful.
  8. I was driving past the Shops at Houston and noticed that where Monsoon used to be on the corner of san jacinto and lamar st. there is a sign that says Texas Sports Bar & Grill coming soon. Its nice to see that empty space finally be put back to use again, there is always lots of people walking around there during the day.
  9. The land across from Camden Travis is probably what you are referring to. I talked to one of the managers that works at Camden Travis and they are supposed to break ground in the fourth quarter. I have been told that it will be retail on the first floor and apartments on the next three floors.
  10. I highly doubt the park gets developed across from camden Travis. They want to build apartments there with retail on the ground floor. Camden Travis is almost fully leased and they expect to break ground in the fourth quarter.
  11. It seems like Epicurean Express is progressing a bit in the last week or two.
  12. No its the one by corksoakers across the street from Luckys. I think its on Rusk St.
  13. I see the Epicurean Express sign up, and there appears to be some activity inside.
  14. I see the Epicurean Express sign up, and there appears to be some activity inside.
  15. Seems like this will happen relatively quickly. There is a lot of momentum for this project. It would be great if we could get another residential tower or two in the next few years.
  16. What happened to epicurean express? I thought it was already supposed to be open?
  17. I don't understand what the problem with EADO, its like people having a problem with the name Midtown. EADO is a great name for the area, especially with the area changing and expanding.
  18. When metro finally arrives coupled with the new stadium, most of those houses/warehouse buildings will get torn down anyways. Land is too cheap here and more people want to live in the loop than in the burbs. They have to go somewhere, and there is plenty of space in EADO.
