Thank you tjones...I no longer feal alone. How do we make people realize we are being sold eye-candy and no quailty or lasting construction?

I can not stress enough the dangers of buying a new home in Texas. If I am instrumental in saving one person from bankrupscy and foreclosure, this one -trick- pony is satisfied. I appreciate the forum. It is just one more way I can continue to provide a public service. I keep on the subject because nothing is being done. Thousands of houses are being thown up in Houston... and this is temporary housing. These homes are not like your grandmother's house. They wil not be a place of peace and wonderful memories. These will not be homes that are enjoyed generation after generation. I talk to people everyday caught in this horrible situation and there is nothing I can do to help them. It is flustrating, so maybe you are right... I do vent. I wish there was more I could do.

THURSDAY'S HOUSTON CHRONICLE:...Writing's on the wall at Tremont Tower Tremont has cease to amaze me with their arrogance. Their proclivity toward misdeeds and misconduct continue to make the news. Unfortutantly, no matter how unethical their behavior, no matter how much bad press they recieve, or how many families, neighborhoods, and communities they eggregiously effect... (by their defective building and behavior), they continue to be issued permits. All the while... the Attorney General's office continues to take complaints and make files, and our leader's run for re-election, and the home owners go into bankruptcy and foreclosure. As consumers we live in perilous times.

Rita and the substandard housing in Houston If the washing machine spin cycle shakes my new 3 bedroom Tremont home... Just imagine what sustained winds of even 65 miles an hour will do .....25% of the temporary housing that has been allowed to be throw up all over Houston will be in a heap on the ground... and that is a conservative estimate.

Better keep your eyes open! University Development got 1.3 million out of TRIZ and the water and sewer funds and they are calling themselves University Development, led by Jorge Casimiro...a memeber of the Harris County Housoing authority .... Casimiro is not a listed director of this company with the texas comprollers office...better watch out for the poor and the elderly... this same group as Tremont and Stature got fired building the police station and bought you the disasters at hyde park and the fiasco of Tremont Tower. Why doesn't the city find out who is involved or at least who really owns the companies they trust the housing for the elderly and poor? A million three is a lot of money to hand over to some one who continues to prove they are incompentent to build , sell defective properties and are involved in so many lawsuits.... Their greed crosses all economic lines. They have even been thrown out of the Better Business Bureau. What does it take to prove that a builder is bad builder?

Tremont is building Houses everywhere out that way.

There is a lot of temproary housing in houston. Let the residents live in Tremont Towers hardly any one else does. There are about 66 units that have been vacant for a couple of years... They won't be inhabitable for very long, but some of the units might be livable for a while. I would hate for anyone to live there, but given the circumstances I finally can recommmend tremont homes for something. They cerrtainly won't be long term. I would offer my Tremont house but it was leaking so badly and was full of toxic mold...I had to move out. Katrina was an act of God, it made homeless people. Tremont/Stature makes homeless people because of greed and incompetence.
