sounds like things have changed - i am with Gnu on the bad service experiences, but mine were several years ago when i used to live really close by.
i'll have to give it another go
Never had a problem. It's not too bad - you pay at the counter, they make your coffee right away (fresh into your cup, not from a huge jug or something and you can chose from like 10 different types of coffee), then then give you a number and 5 or 10 minutes later your food is delivered to your table. Even on busy days it never took longer than 10 minutes to be served.I used to live in the neighborhood so I ate many breakfasts there.

too expensive for breakfast particularly if you have to stand in line.
that's what i have heard all around (plus iffy reports on food)
and club is only "klub" in denmark, hungary, etc.

and i wasn't aware that maria isabel has targeted even more homes in the area.

Oh yeah. I think I remember her in one of the newer Twilight Zones. She played a witch who kidnapped a boy and was fattening him up for the oven. An updated Hansel and Gretel.
yeah! it was Tales from the Darkside, the movie

this was haunting me this afternoon, so i had to go back and read more
my favorite quotes:
Even from a distance of a mere couple of feet or so, it will be difficult to tell any difference at all, save the lack of movement.
If not subjected to subsequent damage (dirt, spills, stains, weather, mistreatment, etc.) there should be no further change or deterioration. With a little care, your pet can be held, carried, transported, and even gently petted.

well, the information is still on this thread (ebay, selling, etc). might wanna edit that out, too, if it's a concern.
as far as the pictures, when the place is taken over and rehabbed (eek?) by the new owners, please please either repost them or make a home for them on the web (or i can provide a home for them, even!).

i am not sure why, but cats dressed up doing "human" things amuses me

this would be a neat place (if still open)

Erasure was the best of the music acts by far!
Debbie Harry was close, I think everyone expected some Blondie throw backs, and she never delivered!
i agree, erasure was good, and i thought the dresden dolls were an interesting band for debbie harry to play with...

this sure looks like an employee lounge rather than a "sports bar in your own home"
and gotta love the fluorescent ambiance

i thought this was maybe the same one, but this one says a 99-cent store in fort bend county

i don't think it's in manvel:
i wouldn't know where exactly that is (a bit far out), but i got Manvel from the HAR listing and google maps
-
actually, i was really holding out for erasure and debbie (deborah?!) harry

i searched a little for "family care medical" in manvel, tx but didn't come up with anything.
i agree with my original guess and others' thoughts - that from the looks of it (rooms, cielings) it was some sort of "facility"
yuck!and the tax records show that in 2004 the place was owned by "Family Care Medical / Ulysses W. Watkins, M.D."
was it maybe used as a clinic?
here's the tax record, too:

it pays to know the history of the land...
and apparently the man in the press article jumped ship in 2005...
spot-checking the values of some homes in this community showed value around $200k - a lot less than i was thinking
