You might want to check out this product if you are in the market for a roof. It is called a PVC roofing membrane. I just had it put on my townhouse several weeks ago and have noticed a big difference in temperatures. I have a 3 story townhouse and the third floor was pretty hot during the summers. I had the roofing contractor put 1in insulation board along with a 60mil PVC membrane. The membrane comes in white which is highly reflective. It also comes with a 20yr warranty on the materials.
