  1. I obviously was not clear, sorry. Spring Branch ISD has some excellant elementary schools (Bunker Hill, Frostwood) where you can still find homes starting at $150,000 (just west of Bunker Hill Village). Spring Valley doesn't have homes starting at that price range (unless you want a small tear-down). Even though Spring Valley's city taxes will rise due to the I-10 expansion, they will still be lower than the City of Houston. Spring Valley's middle and high school is the same as for Hunter's Creek, Piney Point, Hedwig and parts of Bunker Hill. Just east of Hillshire Village, in the City of Houston, that neighborhood is zoned to Hunter's Creek Elem.
  2. The WEST end is eroding. The EAST end is ecreting. The State of Texas has historical maps showing both the erosion and the growth on the East end. Quite interesting what they predict it will look like in 50 years.
  3. Phase I is two towers. Phase II is two towers. They are selling Phase I now.
  4. Anything within 30 miles of the coast must comply with the Texas Windstorm requirements. Some buildings are required to have impact resistant glass for up to 60 feet above existing grade.
  5. Snickers, Houston is big, very big. Don't get confused by the posts that pertain to only one area of the town. Yes, HISD is not the best district, however, it depends upon where you live. You don't have to live in Katy, Fort Bend county to get a good education. You don't have to go to private schools. Check out Spring Branch ISD. You can find a range of houses (from $150,000 - millions) and you can get an excellent public education. You don't have to drive (or have your husband drive) 45+ minutes each way every day. Check out the City of Spring Valley, 77055, City of Houston, 77024.
  6. Palisade Palms has not broken ground yet because current Lender Practice is to sell 50% of the units. They believe they will break ground before the end of the year.
  7. Yes, the water is brown, that is why places like Palisade Palms will have great swiming pools.
