Hello, I'm planning an art project based on Houston's mid-century architecture, and would like to learn more about important modern buildings in the city. I live in New Orleans, but my prospective piece is intended for a space in Houston. I'm only slightly familiar with the area, and am seeking iconic mid-century structures to check out...images of these places would be great, but I'm also happy just to have suggestions of buildings to research on my own. (I was originally excited to do a piece about the Statler Hilton until I realized it is in Dallas!) What are your favorite modern structures in the city? Which ones are considered the most major icons? I've found a lot of info just searching online, but I need some more direction. Best, JB
