I remember playing on that playground but it must have been a bit after it opened because it didn't look as nice as the photo. I played on a soccer team at Bayland Park in the mid-60's. My mother gave me a dime before each game, which I would put in my shoe. After the game, my brother and I would cross the ditch to the Purple Cow for ice cream (he had his own dime). My sister was a waitress at that Walgreen's in the early 70's. I used to love watching that clock go off every hour.
