a rarely fly but once refused a blanket from a stewardess. she seemed irritated when i said it wasn't mine. and she said you don't have to purchase it... so i explained: no, i'd rather not use some odd blanket, thank you. she was irritated although i was polite. now i'm glad i turned it down. that was also the flight were the man sitting next to me was protruding into my seat. his very warm side area was poking out under the arm rest (which he was also using) and creeping six inches over on my seat. i was very put off by that. good argument for road trips!

i forgot the glass o' wine part so, i'm tired yet wide awake... too much caffeine today!

there is finally a time that there are no babies. after the last batch, the mom got a broken wing and i called the wildlife rescue. i checked back with them and she's doing well but i wonder what her mate is up to --- and how long the monogamous pairs wait before starting over again. i can imagine this situation will probably end like a bad romance film.

just worked a 12 hour shift... so, a small frozen veggie pizza, a glass of wine and a nap. too much caffeine today!

please tell me that this isn't a passive suggestion for a HAIF gathering...

there are a few pieces of furniture from the old place. the neatest and most upsetting thing is the old oversized ledger books on the bar. i enjoyed looking through them but couldn't help thinking of someone spilling a drink on them. i would describe it as a cross between a watered down version of the old notsuoh and the engine room. the walls have some modern/minimalist artwork and similar lighting to the engine room, which i am not a fan of --- the club, not the lighting. my favorite thing there is the huge wall map behind the stage, makes for interesting photos. maybe it will take time to build up the amount of clutter again, hopefully that's it. i would really love to see this place grow into the desciption above. i do think it's possible!

been planning one to get rid of stuff before an upcoming project but is it too cold? some garage sale enthusiasts might still be gung ho enough to attend... i would like some extra pre-christmas income but don't want to waste my time if no one arrives. will it be too cold? can't fiure out this damn houston weather.
