  1. Honstly not really...other than an apperance of opulance (which kinda falls in with the Greek theme) in an area that I wouldn't have asociated with opulance. The main thing that I would really like to check out is the detail in the carvings/painting/ect. and how it all flows together. I may not be an architect, but it doesn't take one to apricate a building, which is what I'd like to do with this church.
  2. Thanks for the link! <tilts head left and right> You know, I don't think I've ever seen that building.
  3. I know nothing about it either, but I think they built the chapel @ Camp Kickapoo (a catholic retriet (Sp, sorry) center, if it's even still kickin') in it's immage. That chapel was pretty, I should go back some time and take pictures.
  4. Living up North (some might consider it no-mans-land), I've passed this building durring all stages of it's construction when going to and from Houston. My reaction at first was "What's this?" and it stayed fairly constant by what was being done. Now that it's done (and been so for a while now) I've been trying to figure out, just what exactly is La Luz Del Mundo (honstly Thursday was the first day I was able to read the name on the building)??? Can't stop in and ask, most places close at 6pm or so and it was usually MUCH later than that when I'd drive by. I'm glad I found this page and found out that it is indead a church. As far the the architecture goes (since this is HAIF), I find it very facinating especially now knowing that it's a Spanish church, Greek I would have figured. It deffently makes you take notice...especially considering the surrounding area. At some point and time I'd like to stop and take a better look at it because of it's interesting architecture.
