Check This Out This Should Help Our Galleria Area
tierwestah replied to Dallasboi's topic in Dallas/Fort Worth/Metroplex
Cool. any word on when this will start construction? -
I believe him. Like i said though, it's probably the cranes finishing up construction from a long time ago. But for the skeptical ones, maybe some pics might actually do some justice for proving his claim. 713/214, people are not going to stop posting in this thread. This thread is a way to keep current on both projects, both status, both impact they're making on each downtown. Just because your Victory is slowing down, there's no need to discontinue posting in this thread. This thread is pushing 1,000 replies. I'd say it has good reason to keep going!

I hope they leave the threads open. Restating the obvious, I think Victory will eventually get built out but they might have to wait until the market warrants more building. It was kind of an unwise decision in the first place to oversaturate a market with already high office rates with a hope and a prayer that people would come as they build. They should've finished converting all the vacant office space into residential lofts and filling that first before starting Victory. We have been saying that on this thread from day one. How much money do you all think will be lost out on if they lower the prices in Victory for the more common mass people?

Ok, the rubik cube/tetris thing IS a stairway to the parking Garage. I can confirm this because i was at the park Saturday night with my girlfriend and we parked in the garage.

Bein' a Texas team player i have to honestly say, i'm sorry to hear this. It kind of reminds me of when the residential was scrapped from the Houston Pavilions. I agree with Spades though, Victory can't shoot out of the ground into a full grown neighborhood overnight. It's kind of like a plant. A plant can't just grow and become a success without the nourishment, time and care that it would take to fully blossom. Victory is the same. It may look cool with the flashy Video screens and all there's no feel yet. Right now Victory serves the same purpose as a Museum, It's just something to look at!

GreenStreet: Mixed-Use Development At 1201 Fannin St.
tierwestah replied to MontroseNeighborhoodCafe's topic in Downtown
That'd be cool, even though we got those mini mart dollar store on main st already. I'm just hoping for some more retail, like clothing or NIKE town. -
Thanks for the photos. I too got kicked out of the park when i was in town on Saturday night. There was some event going on but i was still able to drive around and take a look at all the lighting effects of the park. It was really starting to come together. I hope they put blue lights in the pond when complete to hi-light the view of the pond at night .

Maybe its just me, but i don't see no Houston Pavilions in that photo. -
this thread should be changed to Redscare VS Musicman. Midtowncoog fell off the wagon long time ago!

Wow those are some awesome shots sabotai. Great angles and detail. Thanks. Keep em coming. -
^^^ So how does this tie in to the planned intermodal station that Metro is planning on? Is there remediation work being done on the portion of land that's slated for that project?

No. A recent article stated they're still trying to seal the deal on the property. So no official announcements have been made yet.

Took my fiance to The Grove Restaurant on Friday. Nice atmosphere and the food was pretty good but not for that price. We both ordered the Pork Chops. I didn't get the amount of food that i thought I should have for the amount of money. Mine was good but they burned my girlfriend's. They ended up taking hers off the bill so it worked out.

M Square: Mixed-Use Development At 3200 Post Oak Blvd.
tierwestah replied to editor's topic in Going Up!
Yeah try to be a little more specific. Is it supposed to be mixed use or strictly office? You could be talking about a new McDonalds planned for all I know. Just kidding, but you get my drift! -
I'm not gonna make this about Dallas or Houston but in response to what large TX said, if these develpoments are the urban snow globe disneylands, i'll take it. It beats the hell out three spanning eyesore parking lots where there's no activity or action. HP is also serving as a catalyst for newer developement. I could care less if it's too disneyland. Vegas is disneyland. People come from all over to see Vegas. People come from all over to visit disneyland in Orlando. As long as people are coming to see the place (even if its only locals), its real to me. I don't care if it looks plastic. Just my 2 pennies.

No ThePedant did not go there. of all people! Just good ol' fun Niche. This is my first post of the year so i'll be nice about Dallas. It looked like it was a real energy bustling night out. I think it only has room to get better. I'm expecting Houston's new park downtown to grow that kind of energy for events and New Years. P.S. I don't think that HP will get old any faster than the whole Victory project will. The HP and Park together will serve as catalyst for future projects and expansion.

much better! I do have sensitive eyes though!

I disagree. Some of the best lighting downtown has are lit with neon such as Wells Fargo's white neon top.

Hold up everyone!!! Where's the source on this? The land has already been cleared for High Street. You must be talking about the Westcreek Development which is on the lot right next to this. The Westcreek Apartments were supposed to be knocked down but word is that they will be around for a little while longer. Ask Westerngulf, he seems to have the updates on this
