I wonder if ABC 13 will be at Klein ISD's Board meeting concerning Northgate Forest tonight.
-
ABC 13 is telling me that Spring ISD shot down the move unanimously.
Yeah, It was ABC 13's Top Story last night at 10 pm. I was not surprised by Spring ISD's move. Now it will be interesting to see what Klein does now.

Everyday on 13 Eyewitness News at 6pm, Older footage of Ed is shown until his retirement on April 13, 2007.

Where is this outlet shopping center located at?
-
The list was released this morning of the 97 high schools in Houston that were rated.
-
Yeah, I'm thinking if the annexation happens, Northgate Forest will be zoned to Klein Forest High School, Wunderlich Intermediate School and Greenwood Forest Elementary School.
-
If Northgate Forest secedes into Klein ISD I thought they would be zoned to Klein Forest HS, Wunderlich, and GW Forest Elementary. If they were zoned to Klein HS they would have to travel all the way down FM 1960 to Stubner Airline, then down that road 2-4 miles. Maybe Klein and Klein Forest are about the same distance from Northgate Forest.

Is Northgate that one neighborhood close to the Woodlands, squeezed in between I-45 and the Hardy Tollroad? If so, I have been there before.
Northgate Forest is located on FM 1960 just west of Kuykendahl Road.

Virtually none of the school-age kids in Northgate actually go to Spring ISD schools. But that's not why the Northgate people are so upset. They want to switch districts so they can raise their property values and move out of Northgate Forest. They know their MUD taxes are going to skyrocket within the next couple of years once the place gets built-out and NFDC stops subsidizing them. They know their Country Club certainly isn't a selling point anymore - the course is poorly maintained, the clubhouse is old & outdated, and membership turnover is high. They know the traffic at 1960/Kuykendahl is inhuman and they'll be living down the street from a major underpass very shortly. So they want to trade "Wastefield" for Klein because there's really not much else going for them right now. Every year a new section of houses opens there that nobody ever moves into. Half the lots in the original section that opened in the early '80s are still for sale.
Where do the school aged children in Northgate Forest go to school at? Private Schools?

Is this the land that was cleared across from the Target and Lowe's shopping center? Tomball is growing really fast.
Tomball is growing fast. Tomball ISD is about to build more schools including a second High School.

So let me get this right. The Vintage is going to have a Cheesecake Factory and a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse? What other major stores are going into the Vintage?

Klein and Spring School Districts are having public Hearings on this matter in April. I'm guessing the decision will be made then wheather to keep Northgate Forest in Spring ISD or move them to Klein ISD which would make residents much more happier.

What will become of these 11 suites?
I guess whoever leases them out.

For those that are interested, I found this interesting: a list of news music pakages past and present that were used in all of the city's TV stations over the years, as well as music packages that are used right now.
Check it out; here's the link:
Thats a really neat site. They haven't updated ABC 13's new theme music though.

I remember I was also in the fifth grade at Lemm Elementary School in north Klein ISD and another teacher next door came in our room and told my teacher something off to the side so we couldn't hear. She then left and he told us what had happened. From that point on we had several questions and many students were getting picked up from school early that day.

What is the difference between metropolitan city area and city size because I thought Houston was the fourth largest in the USA.

Elementary Schools are getting bigger and bigger nowadays. Katy I.S.D. has some big ones, too. A lot of them (both Katy and Cy-Fair), can pass as some school district's junior highs.
How big are they in terms of like square footage?

In February, the Cy Fair ISD Board of Trustees approved the construction contract in the amount of $11,506,000 for the construction of Elementary School #48 and $11,442,000 for Elementary School #49. Elementary #48 will be off of West Little York Road and Elementary #49 will be off of Westfield Village Road. Both campuses are new designs for the district but have characteristics of previous campuses.

I was wondering has anyone seen any old footage of KTRK ABC 13? What was it like?

Abe Saavedra, Houston ISD's Superintendent just recently recieved a salary increase from $278,100 to $301,100. That is a major increase. HISD Board members said he deserved every penny of it for all his hard work put into the state's largest public school district. Maybe he does deserve it, but I don't think HISD is one of the better school districts in Houston's Harris County.

grammar police ooh ahh, wow, how original, yippee, how about adding something constructive?
I really can only imagine that the only people not for this are ones who are afraid of or intimidated by technology. It should be embraced because it is an ESSENTIAL requirement for anyone who wants a job that does not involve checking someone elses tire pressure. Computers are a learning tool, just like books, the internet is full of information. The world is changing if you don't change with it you will be left in its wake.
I agree 100%. Computer and technology usage should be embraced more in schools today. This is a wonderful way of bringing it out. Technology is a learning tool.
Atlanta Leaders Think They Got The Wealthier People From New Orleans
in General Houston Discussions

Personally I think it is very stupid for them to say something like this when they have absolutely no proof. Who knows wheather Houston or Atlanta got Louisianna's most wealthiest people. I can see where they have proof if they say Houston got the fraction of Louisianna's dangerous victims that brought our crime rate up.
