The "America's Team"label should go to the Saints.I never liked that label for my team.
And since we beat Houston we are the team of Texas.
HOU and DAL may end up with the same record.8-8.
-
I think it looks more like a Mayan or Aztec temple
And thats why its my favorite in Houston.Second in Texas, behind Dallas' Fountain Place.
Please understand I'm from FW,I really dont get to look at buildings like these.

I thought in was mad last night.Jerry Jones was furious.I bet he made the call to put in Romo.
-
They are in tears.Their season is over. They didnt beat the COWBOYS,the only team they were trying to beat this season.Look at em,with their heads down.Just like them okies I saw a couple of weeks ago.
T.O.-18
HOU-6

Dallas vs.FW,Dallas vs.Houston,Austin vs.SA will it ever end...let us take a crowbar to the rest of the country or just oklahoma, that would be better. All they ever do is talk down on Texas and Texans.
Oh,and leave the Cowboys out of this.
-
I dont understand what hes doing in Dallas anyway.Theres only room for Jerry Jones. At least he signs a T.O. rather than talk down on a city to get some recognition.
-
As long as they dont add the word "ice" to the name, like IceBats or Ice Dogs.
-
What name should Houston's NHL team be?I was glad when they decided to go with Texans for NFL.Luckily the Dallas Stars only had to drop "North" from the old team, and it fit well.

Dude, that Texans/Cowboys game is hard as hell to predict. I really think it depends on how the Texans decide to execute Kubiak's plans. If the DL wants Bledsoe bad enough, they'll get him. If the OL wants to protect Carr bad enough, we'll have at LEAST 28. We already know the Cowboys' weapons, but we don't know how good the Texans are yet, because they didn't show it until Miami in the 4th.
And we gotta wait 2 weeks to see if Williams stands out the way he did in the 4th, too. If we play as good as our roster says we are on paper, we gonna beat the Cowboys.
If the DL wants bledsoe bad enough? If the Texans OL wants to protect Carr bad enough? Is the Cowboys game the only game they are gonna try to win? They should want it every game, every play.
Sorry Houston wont score 28 points against the Dallas D.I think yall better hope Williams does play as good as that "paper" says, cuz your defense is what would win this game.
-
not likely. You may beat the texans by three touchdowns but you don't have near the talent of the Eagles.
All they got on us is QB.Both teams wins came over sucky teams. When Dallas and philly meet,it will be a battle of defenses, and we clearly have the better one that will win us the game.
COWBOYS forever! But I do cheer for the Texans every week. They are from Houston. And they are Texans.
But next weekend they are the enemy for an hour of gameplay.

Thats right. That childish kick to the dome ,man was that out of line.

You guys dont worry, after were done crush-f'ing the eagles sunday we will invite you for a friendly a$$-whoopin'.

I found that the majority of the cities at the top of the list were southern or western, and linked by their sprawl characteristics. Does this mean Southerners are bigger thieves? Does sprawl make theft easier? Auto theft is always higher in auto dependent cities. Does that make the rate higher?
Someone at an another forum mentioned Texas' education rankings.Would the southern states educational systems be to blame here?
-
I never said it would happen or work.I bring it up only to make a point that the city has way more problems than "dress codes".
I see the firings as a good thing as well.FW's chief Mendoza should follow in Kunkle's footsteps.FWPD could use some cleaning up of its own.
-
This isn't really anything new. Houston's doing very poorly as well. And we shouldn't blame it on Katrina evacuees. The fact of the matter is our police department is a joke. They would rather focus on revenue-generating schemes such as speed traps rather than increase city police beats in areas where the police's presence would be a deterrent to crime. Pathetic... Our tax dollars hard at work!
Some in Dallas think having the kids ,or anybody, pull up thier pants and not sagging will clean up the city.No way its the police dept.Theres been so many firings for misconduct recently, its a shame.

Huh? The Aggie/Longhorn rivalry will always be the grandaddy of them all. Texas/OU is big, but not bigger. Texas Tech just wants a rival to prove they belong in the same conversations with TAMU/UT/OU, they don't.
You got that all right!!!!
But maybe now TCU and TT can be rivals.....SMU cant hold a stick to TCU,so TT can give TCU a run for their money every now(not this year) and again.
-
Im just glad the city is doing something with that part of DT.
-
Has nothing to do with it being Dallas, but the one with the red on top looks like a killer roller rink or roller derby course. And the box looking structure looks like a cubed Bose stereo. The architecs could of done a better job.
-
FW is set to have a generic Uptown in"Trinity Uptown".It will be just north of DT.Not for a couple of decades though.......
-
I jus thank its stupid its downtown dammit
Isnt Houstons "Uptown" on the westside of the city?Dallas' is north of DT,which sounds like up town to me.
-
Dallas Is just in a transitional phase......Sometimes it may seem busy sometimes it may seem dead.in about 1 year it will be an entirely different place, so all of the people who enjoy saying that downtown Dallas is dead had better get it all out now because soon that statement won't be valid.
You got that right! All the talking down on FW and DTFW wont get DTDallas anywhere.Dallas always solved its own problems when it comes to its identity. How many tall buildings there are doesnt say how cool a city is.Or how long it takes to walk around a DT.Dallas is Dallas,FW is FW,and Houston is Houston. Each of those cities have had their ups and downs.Recently its been FW's time to shine.DTD will come around again.
-
In the Abiliene pics, pic #15(the tall building in the background) and to the far left in #33,what is this building? How many floors, office or residential? Thanks
-
That doesn't make sense. We have Reliant Stadium, Reliant Center, and a few other convention-worthy buildings in the same parking lot as the Astrodome. What is directly surrounding Texas Stadium, and why would people be occupying the hotel if there's no reason to stay there other than to stay there?
Don't get me wrong; Texas Stadium is a landmark. But why would people feel compelled to spend a weekend in Irving instead of Arlington or Dallas after the Arlington Cowboys, um, Dallas Cowboys move to their new home?
I wonder the same thangs.......youre right nothing else is around there,so I think the Astrodome is better off with what ever is done with it.because it looks like its gonna be "Doomsday" for our beloved Texas Stadium.
-
Irving has its hands full also about what to do with Texas Stadium.I think copying what ever Houston does with the Astrodome is what they probably will do,cuz' what Houston has Dallas will have to have.

What is the name/address of that tall building with the crane?
The FW Zoo could use a couple of skyscrapers next to it.
Great pics.I love Houstons "Urban Jungle" of a zoo.
