I grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana (95,000 under current annexation plan) and it was a town of "1 of everything". i.e.: Chili's, Applebees, Logans etc. It's different to live in a metropolis (Houston) now, and find 1 of these restaurants in every neighborhood. My parents talk of a time when there was only 1 McDonalds and KFC in everytown. Are restaurants like Chili's & Outback the next wave of homogenized family eateries?
