I love the drive by pics. It's fun to live a bit dangerously.
Here's one from my car in downtown through the windshield. I almost nailed the bicyclist on this one.

Just blows me away how the Reliant Stadium dwarfs the Astrodome. I remember the opening of the Dome and thought it was the biggest thing I had ever seen, it just seemed so huge back then. It's so easy to remember because I was skipping school with my three cousins and my Grandfather, it was my 13th birthday on a Friday, and we drove to Houston to watch the Astros play the Yankees. I will never forget that as long as I live.
I remember the Texans first game against the cowboys. We were walking up the ramps and just stopped in our tracks when we looked over and noticed we were looking down at the roof of the dome. It was an amazing thing to see the first time. It is still the coolest view from the nosebleed terraces.

For bonus points, we have another water tower photo. The clue is that I was driving precisely 57mph while taking this shot.
Pay close attention the the background.
Is that in Tyler?

Lakes at Country Place has many homes in this price range. It is gated and on a private golf course in Pearland off 288 within minutes to Downtown. Let me know if you need any info. on it.

Best possible situations for inspectors (IMO):
A real estate agent who is also an inspector. Two birds, one ethical stone.
Teaming up with an already established company as a free agent. They get the work, pass it to you and they take a cut.
Financially it sounds great on paper....but future legal fees will cancel that out.
I can hear the judge already. "As an agent, who did you refer to do the inspection?"

I accidentally posted this in another section, so please accept my apologies for the duplicate request.
I am wondering if anyone has information on the area of land between fm 518 and cr59 along hwy 288 in Pearland. Recently, a large tract of land has been cleared and I am wondering what may be the next chapter in the Pearland area. One rumor I have heard was that Methodist hospital may be looking at this site but I have not been able to find any tangible information to confirm this. So my question is two fold. What is going on in this area and where will Methodist Hospital be located?
Best regards

If I'm not mistaken I believe the area is set for the new site of "New Hope Church" to be opend in Sept. The land is on the SW corner of CR 59 and 288. It is just North of the Rodeo Palms development. Again you might be thnking of something else.

Nice pano!
You can just barely see the roof of Reliant. Where was this taken from?

I guess "commute time" wasnt part of the calculations.

All tips(most) are pooled together then divided at the end of day.

Yes, these are all things I've done in my 20's, except number 3, I will neither confirm nor deny that this ever happen, and I have the pictures to prove.......I mean there are absolutely NO pictures to prove it !
My friends and I may or may not have went out hunting for "urban courgars" once or twice.

My husband and I are looking at a home in the Sunrise Lakes neighborhood. It seems like a nice place to live. Nice homes, good prices, close to shopping and freeways.
Any cons? Anything we might have overlooked?
Does anyone know what is planned to be built behind the subdivision?
Thanks!!
Sunrise Lakes is really nice. It has a strong resale market, as well as new construction still being built. It is a great alternative to Silverlake. Basically same ammenities with close to the same HOA's, just different schools. The business park at the entrance is visually the nicest in Pearland. The homes are built by Pulte and J Patrick. Two builders with great reputations. You can get more sqft for the price with a Pulte but J Patrick has some really nice "standard" features. We have relocated many clients to this neighborhood that felt like Silverlake and SCR are just too big. My 2cents.

Here's a shot from the balcony at the Downtown Aquarium I took about a month ago.

Newmark Homes in SCR has their section "Arbor Lakes" listed as Hightowere HS on their site.
And yes it will be a hard sell either way.
-
Sorry I was was not exact in where the new section is to be built.
The next phases that are closest to FM 521 will be FBISD. We were told by developers they are trying to zone to Hightower HS, but will most likely go to Willowridge HS.

I know the whole Alvin ISD has kept a lot of Pearland residents away as well as the taxes.
Also FYI....the new sections of SCR West of Kingsley will be going to FORT BEND ISD.
