  1. Excellent article...I graduated from St.Thomas in 1968 and my wife and I lived on West Main from 1970 to 1973.
  2. I worked downtown in the late 60's and early 70's and I parked in underground garages and walked in air conditioned tunnels to the office buildings........
  3. I worked in the IBM building under construction next door from 1968 to 1973, then moved to continue working with IBM around the country until 1992.
  4. I used to go to that one a lot in 1963 and 1964.....
  5. I was referring to the park "at which I got motion sickness once ", not the pony ride park.
  6. In those days men wore suits year-round.....
  7. Jetton's was a great cafeteria in the Greenway Plaza area.......
  8. My wife to-be and I went to the Charity Horse Show in 1966 on a date.......

  11. There was also a ceramics studio that was called Mo-Lee's. My wife took lessons there in the early 70's. She later became a ceramic artist when we lived in California.
  12. You guys are so "young", I remember going to the Capitan Theater in Pasadena as a kid on Saturday afternoon and seeing a double-feature for 25 cents (circa 1955).
  13. Victoria Station and the Rail Head were two different restaurants in the early 1970's, in fact the Rail Head was opened first.
  14. Often ate lunch at Christie's on S. Main when I worked at 6900 Fannin, 1968 to 1973.
