    OK, admittedly not as sexy as a luxurious residential high-rise, but a CenterPoint substation is a key component benefiting TMC Helix Park and the entire TMC area.

    Has anyone heard any updates regarding the downtown W Hotel development? I haven’t seen a thing from Horizon and HoustonFirst since the spring 2022 BisNOW article.

    MeetingsNet writer Rob Carey reports that the soon to be constructed 521 room hotel will be operated by an “upper-upscale” or “luxury” hotel brand not yet chosen. The STR Chain Scales document names 114 such hotels currently operating in the US market.

    I don’t think Zoe Life Sciences is a tenant per se, but perhaps related to real estate asset management and/or design for such laboratory-based developments. Fulton Labs in Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood notes co-development with Zoe Life Sciences, so I see them more as a strategic partner.

    Updated Transwestern brochure for 1990 OST 😃 Many of the images are repurposed TMC images. The below image stitched together the redevelopment efforts both north and south of OST. Throw in the Hyatt Place + Hyatt House on the corner of OST & Fannin, the upscale Blossom Hotel on Bertner with its two planned Michelin Chef restaurants, and of course all of the planned ground level retail and restaurants throughout TMC3 and UT System Research Park — this area is quickly transforming from a CoH opportunity zone into a bona fide opportunity!
