I think METRO needs to take a page out of DART's book, and organize the MetroSolutions website better. The maps DART has are very east to get to and read. METRO's are all PDF's. METRO's site is good, just could be better.

More than it doesn't look right. Not smart planning, especially with the way Uptown is going.

An exchange between Don Imus and Warner Wolf on today's Don Imus radio show (per profootballtalk.com):
-
You know what he meant. Rail transit. And there is a problem with some development in the Galleria. Too suburban. It doesn't look right seeing a strip center right next to a 50-story building. Uptown is becoming more urban, so those type of strip centers are going to have to go.
-
Makes the entire area more walkable. Having store fronts near the street. The Regent Square development plan is a good example.
-
What does this have to do with bulldozing parking garages? All you would have to do is build the retail up to the street (in front of a wide sidewalk) and put the parking garages in the back. Almost like BLVD Place (except they have a small surface lot in the front).
-
k. Don't know where that came from. I'm talking about those suburban style strip centers being redeveloped (see BLVD Place). Somehow parking garages come in.
-
They are. Roaches travel in packs now. You only see one at a time, but they are there.
-
Those strip centers won't be there forever. Uptown is getting more and more urban, especially with the new light rail line.

Agreed. Give this thing a beacon if a beacon is needed that badly.

I just really wish the airliners in Texas, as well as the politicians would not have slowed down the Texas T-Bone. That thing would be so critical for our state. A line connecting Houston to San Antonio, San Antonio (through Austin and Killeen) to Dallas-Fort Worth, and DFW back down to Houston. You could also have another line connecting Houston with Austin (or upgrade 290 to a freeway all the way). Then (especially with Houston and DFW), the high speed rail system would hook up with the Inner City rail systems (commuter and light rail). Would be something great.

Don't vote McCain. He wants to get rid of Amtrak.

Why do cats like roaches so much? Are they juicy?
-
When I was little, I use to have nightmares of a roach the size of a dog crawling into my room. Like just ramming into my door breaking it down. Imagine that. I hate hearing the big ones nowadays crawl around and stuff, imagine a monster roach like that. And who is the one from Clutchfans?
-
That is true. Living in a hub city for an airline like Continental (especially when its HQ is there) makes flights cheaper.

Just a small rumor. -
What happens when you click the amardillo, and it is alive?

But of course US Airways first class equals the economy on Continental.

No roach guts on my foot. Nothing splattered, but I wiped my foot off with the towel I had used at the pool that day.

And they can live without their head for a week. A WEEK! I mean seriously, let's have a balance here. Roaches are already one of the smartest bugs out there.
