Groundbreaking? What this person said, 2/5/07? LOL! Well, where is the groundbreaking? I'm still waiting.

Houston do not have a chance to host another Super Bowl. I'm sorry to break it down to y'all like that, but it's true.
The next Super Bowl in Houston I'll be a old man.

Excellent choice, Trae. Better yet, a Alamo Drafthouse, or StarCinema Grill. Make it a 10-12 screens.
An Edwards, or a AMC I can't see happening downtown.
-
I rather a cinema to take the place of the residental. All they need is 10-12 screen cinema. Angekia Theater is kinda far away from Main St. People and students from U of H Downtown would like to take the metrorail to the Pavilions to go see a movie.
-
Nervous? Yea, right!

I think this project is a go. Several of the employees my mom works with park in those three lots. She received an email today that they can no longer park there and will have to look for alternative parking.
Still doesn't mean anything. When they brake ground, trucks, workers and a crane starts to move in that's when I'll say the Houston Pavilions is going up. Until then, I doubt it.

^^^ My point exactly!!

y'all don't see it, cause half of y'all is blinded by it. It's prejudice all around us, but it's just invisible to the eye. Yes, it's the 21st Century, but racism is still here, just in a different way.
So what Houston is diverse. Look at L.A. for instance. They're more diverse then Houston and all I hear is racism about that city. So, diverse means nothing to me, just more population and more crime.

I say let U of H take over TSU, or A&M. TSU will forever be in debt, cause first their not trustworthy on the job. They always stealing. When money comes in for the school, they spend so much and pocket the rest (look at North Forest School District. The poorest school district in Texas, and they always stealing).
I'm not saying close TSU down, but if they don't make no finiancal changes, the state will take over leaving U of H, or A&M to take things over. Hell, I would rather U of H take it over, cause they're across the street from each other.

It's no race card here, son! I'm just saying when the last time you seen any Texas team with half of the staff is black? And if you ask me, Texas is one of most prejudice states.
-
Dang! And I though it was Reggie.
-
Well, if you look around the NFL there not enough black coaches. Furthermore, when the last time Texas in general had almost all black coaching staff? Never. Cowboys? Never. Texans? Never, until now. Almost half of the staff now is black coaches. Could this be the works of the new GM, Rick Smith? Hell, they may decide on a black quarterback this offseason, or in the draft?
Question: When was the last time you seen a black player on the Astros roster, or staff? Never! And people complain about that. They even boycott the Astros right in front MMP.
-
The Texans are getting more black coaches on their staff now. They just hired two of them already, and Kubiak still in talks with Frank Bush(black) from Cardinals to be the assistant head coach/defensive.
Kubiak and Rick Smith is really doing a good job so far in the staff.

That a awsome rendering, DJ.
You think Houston will built a mixed-use soccer stadium?
-
I think it's a great place to shop. Do you have any experiance shopping there?
I agree. Katy Mills is a great place to shop. Everytime I go it be jam packed. Plus, you can get things alot cheaper.
It would be crazy to close that mall down.

Kubiak on Monday finally will have an opportunity to interview Frank Bush, the former assistant head coach/linebackers of the Arizona Cardinals, who worked with Kubiak in Denver.
Also expected to hire Jethro Franklin as a defensive line coach. Franklin formerly was defensive line coach at Tampa Bay
Kubiak also plans to interview Larry Kirksey, the assistant head coach/running backs at Middle Tennessee, on Monday. Kirksey is a possible replacement for Kyle Shanahan, who moved from coaching the wide receivers to the quarterbacks.
Kirksey was a wide receivers coach in the NFL for nine seasons.

AstroWorld site's transformation surges ahead
Group seeks city designation to aid in acreage's development
The investment group is planning a mixed-use transit-oriented development for the former theme park land. It would include high-density residential units, offices, shops and a hotel.
Part of the plan includes a proposal to reroute the light rail line through the property.

Crime already has been increased in the Houston area. So, casinos is not going to do as much for as crime goes.

I realize y'all talk mostly on the hotel that will be built in the Astrodome. Let's not only look at the hotel, look at the other tenants. Nightclubs, retail, resturants, a band stage, I've heard too they planning on a movie theater as well. A riverboat that will take you do different desinations. Plus, they going to add a parking garage that will sit semi-circle around the Dome, meaning more parking spaces for people going to the Texans games, or other entertainment proposes. Furthermore, look at the Texans games. After the game people could just walk across to the Dome and have a blast.
So, let's not only talk about the hotel industry, because conventions and the hotel just a piece of the puzzle. Talk about wants going to draw people to this entertainment facility in order to stay in those nicely warm expensive rooms.
This will be a new desination for people to attend.

Perry's campaign finance report filed this past week and examined by the AP showed a $10,000 contribution from Tilman Fertitta of Houston, chairman and chief executive of Landry's Restaurants Inc., which owns Golden Nugget casinos in Nevada.

Now, it's February. Next, it's going to be summer.

Yes, it's Kubiak's Offense. The Offense Coordinator role is to call plays down the field into Kubiak's headphones, and if Kubiak doesn't like the play calling he can always over rule it cause he's the head coach. But, Sherman was calling some of his Green Bay plays last season on the slideline. So, I figure it may remain the same. Sherman and Kubiak going to mix it up with Green Bay's and Broncos play calling.
-
Texans promote Sherman to offensive coordinator
Kyle Shanahan moves from receivers coach to quarterbacks coach
Great move Kubiak!

I know Houston Texans feel like crap. New Orleans just won and going to their first NFC CHAMPIONSHIP! Who would thought that?! Now, Reggie Bush and Billy Miller(former Texans) may get a Super Bowl ring.
KHOU's Report On Downtown
in Houston and the Media

Downtown is a big disappointment. I'd rather go to Uptown, or Memorial City area then Downtown.
