  1. Hey, Bruce. You think New Orleans companies will relocate here to Houston?
  2. I'm not talking against New Orleans. The reason I said it will be more poverty, cause New Orleans is one of the poorest cities in America today, and the people you seen on the streets today will triple. It will be more homeless on the streets then before. And the crime? The crime will skyrocket in the Big Easy. Take a look what's going on now. Looters shot a police officer in the head, cause the officer was trying to stop them from taking clothes, micowaves, knife wares from a store. Not only the officers, and the people have to deal with the disaster, they now have to deal with looters.
  3. New Orleans will never be the same if they decide to rebuilt the city. It will be twice as more poverty then it was before, and more crime in the city.
  4. I think when they build the Houston Pavilions things will be much brighter then it is now. Retail, restuarants, and more hotels will pop up after the mashing hit of the Pavilions. Things will fall into place, just watch.
  5. Are you talking about the Inidgo Earth project? If so, that's dead. That project has been cancel. I already know they building a new mall in front of Cinemark Theaters, that will be promising.
  6. Link... My Webpage Soon legal for Texans to have handguns in cars 07:24 PM CDT on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 From 11 News Staff Reports It may come as a surprise to some that starting next month Texans will be allowed to carry handguns in their cars. Since 1871, carrying a handgun has been illegal in Texas unless the owner had a permit or could prove they were traveling. This created confusion since traveling was never defined. Texas lawmakers cleared up the confusion in their last session by defining it as driving a private motor vehicle. This means starting September 1, anyone can drive around with a handgun in their car without a permit. That is as long as they are at least 21 and meet other criteria like not being a gang member. The gun must also be out of sight. Some law enforcement officials say they fear the law may lead to more gun violence.
  7. And I still not for sure about the Houston Pavilions. They have to show me. It has been wayyyy to many projects fail downtown. My new motto is "Seeing is beleiving."
  8. I can see the Houston Pavilions happening, but this? I really doubt that. I mean really.
  9. Davis and Morency really runs the same. Wells, on the other hand, he's more like a power back for a 3rd down and 1 type of back.
  10. Yes, Morency is a good backup runningback. He rushed 90 yards against the Raiders.
  11. Oh I'm sorry. I was so busy that I couldn't comment on the Texans first preseason win. I'm proud of my Texans. The first team drove down the field, and finally punches in for the touchdown, great thinking by David Carr. One problem I have is the defense. The defense kinda looked sloppy. The Raiders run the ball down their throats, and the secondary not to good either. They still need work on their defense, but for the offense, they're coming along pretty will. We shall see the first season game against Bufflao.
  12. IF they build the Pavilions and now the new proposal for the Astrodome. I think Houston could host any major events that comes its way. No doubt.
  13. Damn. Everything fails in Houston, and we're the fourth largest city in the nation actting more like 50th largest. So sad, so sad.
  14. Hey eelimon. That project has been cancelled. Sorry pal.
  15. Well, this week on the 18th is the deadline for the proposal on the Astrodome. For anyone new to this thread. The proposal for the Dome is, a convention center, an 1,000 room hotel, meeting rooms, entertainment complex, restaurants, retail, etc.
  16. We say the same thing about the Texans every year, but we will see how the outcome will be this year.
  17. Fans are more into preseason then ever now, as I've read it two or three months ago on NFL.com. You have to take it personality, cause what they do in the preseason going to follow in the regular season. I really don't know about the playoffs, its a toss up. I would say next year when they get rid off Dom Capers, and get a better coach to take his spot, cause Caper's I think he's not cuttin it. Go get Dallas Coach, Bill somebody. Now that's a coach. If he was here, the Texans would be a playoffs contenders, and maybe Super Bowl. That's a damn good coach they got at Dallas.
  18. Did y'all see the preseason game against Denver tonight? Did y'all like what y'all seen? Cause to tell you the turth they look like last year's team to me. I wasn't impress by the offense, the defense was okay, still needs work. They kept the first team in there for only a series. What? Only one series? That's right. David Carr drove the team down the field at the 1 year line, and couldn't go in. They tried 4 downs, still couldn't go in. Ummm. Is this going to be a repeat of last year? If so, you could say bye bye to Dom Capers and the gang, cause their gone. My prediction for the Texans this season, 7-9 or 8-8.
  19. Wow, another Wal-Mart in the Woodlands? The Woodlands is really growing. Where this new Wal Mart be located?
  20. I think that hospitals will forever be built. Nurses, doctors, etc are in demand now. This is just the beginning for the Medical Center. It wouldn't surprise me that the Medical Center be bigger then Downtown in couple of years to come.
  21. Houston feeling Super again New York's bid falls through, so 2010 bid process will be reopened Houston Chronicle Texans owner Bob McNair said after practice Thursday that Houston will bid on the 2010 Super Bowl that had been awarded to New York if a new stadium in Manhattan was approved for the Jets. 22. Yep, I just read it. This is great. At lease I see Med. offices and Hospitals going up, and not put on hold like these other projects around Houston.
