  1. You're very funny. I like your humor. But, to bad for the Astros. I don't see them in the World Series for sometime. The Astros is those type of team that goes every once in awhile, while Chicago and St.Louis be right back in the mix next year.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the Astros entering in their first World Series. It's good for the team and the city. By the looks at Game 1-4 to me it looked like the Astros was just there. I hate to say this but, the World Series was kinda boring this year.

And for your info. I do love my city, but cities, newspapers treat Houston like a red-headed stepchild everytime we step into the spotlight. I guess our imagine is really bad, or they just jealous over Houston. I don't know.

But, all jokes to the side. I'm glad for my city, and a Houston team finally doing something.

Next up to the plate... Houston Rockets!

  2. You know what. It's a damn shame to get swept in the World Series. Damn, at lease put up a fight and win just one game. Don't let this team come in your backyard and take your nuts away from you, and that's what Chicago is doing.

  3. They lost again. This is a boring World Series game. Chicago is 3-0. I know Chicago and the rest of the teams laughing at us.

Astros have to win the World Series to get respect. You can't just go to the World Series and say, "Hey, we're here." If this be a sweep, y'all think they laughing at Houston now, just wait until the end. The New York Post, and other major newspapers will down rate Houston it will be ashame.

I think St.Louis and Chicago would have been a better game, then this one. Chicago thinks Houston is a joke.

  4. I'm sorry for being a horses butt, but truly. I'am proud of the Astros for going to the World Series. At lease someone in Houston doing something, to bad the Texans won't see a day like this. But, the Rockets may have a chance on going to the big dance.

  5. Listen, I'm not a baseball fan. But, watching Game 1 & 2 of the World Series. I can tell Astros is not focus. Is it the weather in Chicago infecting Astros? or is it they made history already by going to the World Series for the first time is a franchise?

I think it's both. No Houston team can not play in bad weather conditions. Houston is spoil, they need to be indoors. Second, I think the Astros is not really worried about winning the World Series. They figure that they aalready made history, so what the hell. It may not be a sweep, they may win one game out of the series just not to make it look bad.

I can tell the White Sox want it more then the Astros. To me, the Astros just... there in the World Series.

  6. I'm telling y'all. If Chicago be up 2-0 heading to Houston, the Astros got to play double harder, cause these White Sox are a pest. And if the White Sox wins the first game in Houston, I predict it may be a sweep.

The Astros already made history for the first time in the World Series, and they gonna make another history by a sweep.

  7. I think by looking at the entire Game 1 of the World Series last night. The Astros got their hands full with the White Sox. Chicago has a pretty good team, the Astros better come on with it if they wanna be 1-1 in the series before they come back home to Houston.

If Chicago takes Game 2 tonight. Houston we have a problem.

  8. The Texans is not getting rid of Carr. So, y'all need to get that off y'all minds for now. Texans needs Off.linemen, and Defense linemen. They don't need another quarterback, nor runningbacks. But, they could do some good by drafting more wide receivers (verterns, not rookies). The biggest thing now is offensive linemen. I predict their first pick will be linemen's, nothing less.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority said it will form a joint venture with Houston-based Transwestern Commercial Services to build a $105 million real estate development above the Texas Medical Center transit center at Fannin and Pressler.

The multi-use project, which is expected to break ground mid-to-late 2006, will include a 175-room hotel, 30 condominiums, 168,000 square feet of medical office space, a 15,000-square-foot wellness center and 35,000 square feet of retail space.

  10. New Orleans mayor criticizes Saints owner

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Mayor Ray Nagin disparaged Saints owner Tom Benson on Wednesday for working with San Antonio officials to permanently keep the NFL team in Texas.

The mayor's comments came after the departures of two top Saints executives who were supportive of keeping the Saints in Louisiana. Nagin is concerned that San Antonio officials said publicly that Benson is working with them to relocate the franchise to Texas.

``We want our Saints, we may not want the owner back,'' Nagin said while attending the reopening of Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter.

``I'm ready to go to the NFL and to (commissioner Paul) Tagliabue and say, 'Give us the Cleveland plan,' `` Nagin added, referring to the league awarding Cleveland an expansion team almost immediately after the Browns moved to Baltimore after the 1995 season. ``Whatever the Saints want to do, you let them leave, but they can't take our logo, they can't take our name, and you give us a promise to give us a franchise when this city's back.''

Saints spokesman Greg Bensel said he had no comment on the matter.

``For them to be openly talking to other cities about moving is disrespectful to the citizens of New Orleans, disrespectful to the Saints fans who have hung in with this franchise through 30-something years under very trying times,'' Nagin said.

The Saints joined the NFL in 1967. In 1986, Benson was part of an ownership group that bought the team to ensure it would stay in Louisiana. Benson eventually bought out other members of the group.

During Benson's ownership, the state of Louisiana has built him a new headquarters, including spending $6.75 million for an indoor practice field in 2003. The state also has paid for repeated improvements to the Louisiana Superdome at Benson's insistence during the past two decades.

On Monday night, Benson fired Arnold Fielkow, the team's top business executive since 2000. Fielkow had overseen a 36-game sellout streak at the Superdome and negotiated an unprecedented stadium lease that called for the state to pay Benson $187 million in direct subsidies over 10 years.

But Fielkow has said he believed the Saints needed to be leaders in New Orleans' rebuilding process after Hurricane Katrina and repeatedly praised Saints fans in Louisiana as the best and most loyal in the NFL. Fielkow has since said that stance led to his dismissal.

On Tuesday, Conrad Kowal, senior director of marketing and business development, also resigned.

Nagin called Benson's recent actions a ``doggone shame.''

  11. College is a college to me. A 2 year college just the same as a 4 year college. Only difference, a community college is just 2 years and you receive your associates degree. A 4 year college you get a bachelor's degree on up to PH.D if you like.

Alot of students now is starting off with a 2 year college instead of a 4 year college. I would recommend a 2 year college first to anyone.

Now you have these Universities like Phoenix that you don't have to take all that crap. They start you out with your major, but that crap is high. My friend attends Phoenix.

I'm planning on going back to Houston Community College very soon. I just hope things work out for me now, then before.
