  1. Yea, I think its pretty much finished. I agree its more subtle and looks great. I think all these bridges are in preparation for the future when the lakes are developed. Try to imagine that top pic without all the trees sticking out.

  3. Not sure but here's the latest info I found on the tower. Though from the picture it is looking better. http://candysdirt.com/tag/museum-tower/

  5. The 1st phase has done well since its been built. Cant wait to see 2nd phase start next year. The 3rd phase 50 story would be the first 650ft+ skyscraper for Dallas in many years. Going off the JP Morgan next to it (738ft) I estimate 665ft for this one. Maybe they could stretch it. Another 700ftr would be very welcome.
  6. Thanks. I went with different pics that I googled. The pics I wanted were off the Star Telegram showed construction and a really cool roundabout. Downtown Ft. Worth is going to look amazing in a few years. Im jealous of their river situation. Dallas needs to get on the ball and fix its river area.
  7. A full article on the progress of the TRV (Panther Island) was posted in the S-T. The first development on the island could begin as soon as next year. Trinity river vision moves forward. http://www.star-telegram.com/news/local/community/fort-worth/article38751447.html Meanwhile the Dallas Trinity floodplane looks like *beep*.

  9. So happy for our sister/bro to the west! (I havent determined if Ft. Worth is masculine or feminine yet) Its time they get their own thread. Jetta/Frost Tower Officially under construction! http://www.fortworthbusiness.com/news/groundbreaking-skyscraper-to-revitalize-eastern-downtown/article_8c8215f8-786a-11e5-82dc-53ad597f2688.html
  10. Uptown D may not have the height (yet) but it's sure getting dense as *beep*!
  11. FAA Requests for the Union (31 & 22 stories) have just been approved. https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=267028331&row=245 https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=267028330&row=243
  12. Via Sic'em Bears on SSC Phase Two of Craig Hall's Plans: For those of you who don't know. Phase one is that new 18 story building that does a great light show downtown. (KPMG) Now he's getting ready to continue. Breaking ground sometime next year on Phase 2. http://www.wfaa.com/story/news/local/dallas-county/2015/10/27/only-on-news8-hotel-luxury-residential-planned-for-phase-two-of-dallas-hall-arts-development/74719692/ He is also working to complete his plans for Phase 3:
  13. I see what you mean. You're talking about what I wrote. I will change it to Old PC. I havent been keeping up with new Parkland developments. The addition to the OLD Campus is new obviously.
  14. This looks like some very nice infill downtown. Sorry no good link to the article. Info from SSC. This is a Trammell Crow Project. 2000 Ross Avenue is an HKS designed, vertical mixed-use development, which will over 30,000 SF of retail, 351 residential units, and a 227-room hotel. The 26-story project will encompass an entire Downtown Dallas city block with frontage on RossAvenue, Harwood Street, San Jacinto Street and Olive Street. Its close proximity to the highly acclaimed Dallas Arts District and over 13M square feet of office provides for a compelling mix of restaurants and dining options. Retail is scheduled for delivery in Q3 2017 and the entire project is scheduled for completion in Q3 2018. 15. Apologies, some other photos of the new additions to the Old Parkland campus I never posted..(from the net)
  16. Some redevelopment stuff. Looks like it could be an Apple store. Via William Baker from Dallasmetropolis
  17. Campus additions make debut in Oak Lawn. Pretty nice. Crow Holdings tonight will have the grand opening of the latest addition to its Old Parkland campus in Oak Lawn. Four new buildings on the west side of the almost 10-acre property along Maple Avenue will add about 150,000 square feet of additional office and public space to the project which surrounds the 102-year-old Parkland Hospital buildings which Crow restored in 2008. http://bizbeatblog.dallasnews.com/2015/10/monumental-old-parkland-campus-additions-make-their-debut-in-oak-lawn.html/

  19. Jeezus Native. That was a mouthfull. I never made this a D Vs H thread. Just here to report new developments.
  20. Yes. Dallas is valuing it and I think it's both filling needs as well as changing the scene. This isn't Uptown. This is Deep Ellum. I just hope it doesnt become another snooty Uptown. Many including myself don't want that(culture wise). I think this is on the developers' minds and they don't want to take too much organic character from the neighborhood. You can see that with the development of the new Case towers.(pictured higher up on this thread) They have more red brick and look more part of the existing area. This bldg is different but still nice. We'll see what happens in time.
  21. First renders of The Union. Article says both will be 22 stories but anyone who can count sees way more at least on one. FAA says 31 and 22 stories. https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=267028331&row=73 Looks nice either way. http://cityhallblog.dallasnews.com/2015/10/your-first-look-at-the-union-which-is-home-to-much-more-than-just-uptowns-tom-thumb.html/
  22. Looks like Deep Ellum is getting some more height in addition to the 2 other 17story towers (which are reported already under construction) Its nice to see that area go a little vertical. The Epic (rendered here) TOD is right on the DART line and will include residential, office and a hotel. The Epic will have 250k SF of office and a hotel in a historic 100-year-old brick four-story building. The office will be right on Good Lattimer and Elm Street. Bill says more details are forthcoming, but he can’t release too much info just yet. https://www.bisnow.com/dallas-ft-worth/news/mixed-use/breaking-news-kdc-jving-on-deep-ellum-tod-51326?rt=title
