I'm guessing they are building a French drain next to the wall on the east side, they added a new fence and a roof structure over the entrance.

On a thread about this someone mentioned he knew a member of the rescue crew who said the vehicle that was crushed went around the police escorts and tried to pass the trailer and ended up crashing in to the truck/trailer causing the crash. Supposedly the traffic was backed up pretty far behind as the trailer was traversing the route using a lane and a half.

Someone that probably knows what they are talking about mentioned in another thread that this looked like a demethanizer which is still a distillation column but used to separate ethane (C2H6) from natural gas and other light hydrocarbon mixtures.

I'm sure @hindesky can give us a better description than "huge".
It's a luffing crawler crane, they are used for reaching high up usually setting things on roofs and or erecting/disassembling tower cranes.

Dubbed the Swift Building, the project will include more than 60,000 square feet of renovated space for retail, small offices and up to six restaurants – all with patios overlooking the popular hike-and-bike trail. As they did at M-K-T, the developers plan to revamp the green space between their property and the trail, adding fresh landscaping and pathways inviting pedestrians into the project.
Construction is expected to begin at the end of 2024 and wrap in 2025, with restaurants likely moving in 2026.

Unless there are deed restrictions this will be built. They could gather their money and sue and lose like those folks who sued over the Ashby project. There are already multiple high rises in the area.

A Colorado-based entertainment and hospitality firm is bringing the largest music venue in its portfolio to North Texas.
Notes Live will debut its $220M Sunset Amphitheater in McKinney following approval of a development deal for the project. The open-air venue at the northeast corner of US 75 and the Sam Rayburn Tollway will hold up to 20,000 guests and is expected to open in 2026, according to a news release.
The 46-acre facility will include 250 luxury fire pit suites, a reserved seating area, a landscaped grass berm and owners suites. The venue is designed to accommodate major touring acts and is slated to put McKinney on the map as a live music destination.
Notes Live is expected to be a boon for prosperity in McKinney, injecting more than $3B into the local and regional economy in its first 10 years and creating more than 1,300 jobs. More than $50M in grants and incentives were awarded to the developer at the April 16 council meeting.
Construction is slated to kick off in August.

My entire childhood I remember the 410/10 interchange in San Antonio under construction. When I finally drove on it, it had just finished
When I went to my mothers for the Total Eclipse I started to take 1604 around to bypass IH10 through downtown. 1604 was under construction at 3 different places and traffic was backed up for miles in stop and go traffic but mostly stopped. First chance I got to turn around and get back on IH 10 I did. I then realized why I hate taking that route. There are 2 single lane exits to get off IH and get back on it. Whoever designed that part of IH 10 around the west side of downtown San Antonio should be tarred and feathered. Then you have to decide if you want the elevated portion or the lower deck.🤬 One single lane on the main southern IH Interstate Highway system just to stay one it, one.
