  1. Try Greatwood. The houses are usually just as nice as the ones in Telfair, and there are a lot on the market that are less than 3 yrs old. Furthermore, they are priced about -75k-150k less than brand new ones in Telfair, are further away from 59 (still close access, but far less noise, unless you live in the Manor section), and more heavily forested.

315k in Greatwood: hr1929465-1.jpg A tad older than you may like, but there are others in this range; I just selected this one since it was built by the same homebuilder as the latter.

  2. I really like this development. Unfotunately it is priced at more than i am willing to spend at this time. I have a ceiling of around $115k. Anymore than that and the wife will banish me to the couch for atleast a week or 2 :lol:

Or, you could crash at your son's new place for the two weeks. I'm sure he would be more than happy to oblige. ;)

  3. "Gensler Architects has been tapped to design the project, which will be built as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified project."

As long as they don't pop out another boring(but still decent) box like 1000 Main, I'll be happy. Gensler seems to have a knack for designing boring structures around here (if I am not mistaken, 1000 main, and the Anadarko Tower in The Woodlands). Some of their new works in Hong Kong and DUbai are interesting, though.

Still, good news for downtown! :P
