My dog likes pie, and he's a herding breed!

My commute to/from uni is now 20 minutes longer.....

I like pie.

that looks like the existing oak grove that is being integrated into the park plan.
Yeah, I know; it just reminds me of a drive down Main in the Museum District. So lush...
-
Looks like they "borrowed" a few of the majestic oaks from Fannin/Main near the Museum district. I love it.

So is the 55 story addition like a sure thing? That sure would be neato to see. Is there a rendering of it yet?
There is a reserved page for it on Emporis at the moment, so I'm guessing that it would be a go (hopefully).

Fresh off of the press!

Got any Emo kids in your neighborhood?

Wow...what a disgusting residence...

Wow I've never seen so many pedestrians in downtown Houston before! Must not have been a fairly mild day or they would have all been in the tunnels!
Hehehe, now we have evidence that Houston's streets ARE indeed pedestrian friendly!

Heh....

The housing there is relatively on the "lower end" of things. Probably hit hard by ARMs and subprime loans or whatever (I'm not exactly an expert in explaining this, so perhaps one of our more experienced members can enlighten us) .

Try Greatwood. The houses are usually just as nice as the ones in Telfair, and there are a lot on the market that are less than 3 yrs old. Furthermore, they are priced about -75k-150k less than brand new ones in Telfair, are further away from 59 (still close access, but far less noise, unless you live in the Manor section), and more heavily forested.
435k in Telfair:
315k in Greatwood: A tad older than you may like, but there are others in this range; I just selected this one since it was built by the same homebuilder as the latter.

Heh, interesting story about his background, though, if it is true:

Comcast has already made it clear that they're a disimprovement over Time-Warner.
Furthermore, my internet crashes at least 15 times a day, due to the transitioning they are doing. They are also changing the IP address up, which may reallyy mess some stuff up, such as cookies, etc.

Anybody know what this is?
Looks like someone misplaced the original Pavilions buildings, with the residential included...
-
Just wow....
Let's hope it brings some friends over, as well!

I love it. It reminds me of Paris!
Paris Tx, maybe...

I really like this development. Unfotunately it is priced at more than i am willing to spend at this time. I have a ceiling of around $115k. Anymore than that and the wife will banish me to the couch for atleast a week or 2
Or, you could crash at your son's new place for the two weeks. I'm sure he would be more than happy to oblige.

We've come a long way....

"Gensler Architects has been tapped to design the project, which will be built as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified project."
As long as they don't pop out another boring(but still decent) box like 1000 Main, I'll be happy. Gensler seems to have a knack for designing boring structures around here (if I am not mistaken, 1000 main, and the Anadarko Tower in The Woodlands). Some of their new works in Hong Kong and DUbai are interesting, though.
Still, good news for downtown!

I remember eating at the Wyatt's at the old Westwood Mall, back in the day, when I was a kid(The early 90's). It was located just off of the main entrance of the mall (the big glass thingy).

2-3" in Sugar Land, with a bit of light hail. It is calming down now, however.

Well, hey; this beats uncontrolled sprawl. At least they can pitch a gate and charge admission, and get people to wait for hours to get on a ride, or something!
