that helix would be a good location for movie shoots, like filming a scene for a sci-fi move or something

this image has the new Willie G's, does anyone know if they'll be selling the Post Oak lot? or maybe converting it into another ferrita restaurant?

This place, along with Burger Theory, is scheduled to open Jan 10th, as of now anyways

I think this building is going to look great once they restore it, I'm pretty stoked about the turquoise

Yes, and the "Shake Shack" hamburger stand seems very luxurious as well. I only hope they keep the riff-raff out.
In the Saks rendering, is the porte-cochere on Westheimer side? I'm having a hard time orienting it.
The renderings are odd because they don't show the store in relation to the rest of the Galleria, but the square overhang with the parking lot in front is facing Westheimer, while the side with the porte-cochere is facing Sage. The parking lot is what was already there in front of the entrance to the now former Galleria III.
Meant to add that if you look at Cloud's pictures from May (previous page), you can see the rendering matches his pictures, we just didn't know what it was supposed to look like back in May

I really like that Australia comparison. I'm guessing DFW would be the Sydney and Houston would be the Melbourne.

speaking of facade, have they ever produced a more detailed, hi-def style rendering?

what was the superblock before it become a giant empty field? what was there that caused streets to be cut off to form the superblock in the first place

I know this location is profitable for Target, but hopefully the site gets redeveloped. they could incorporate a new target into some development, like maybe a City Target

is it an underground parking garage?
-
it looks like they put the Christmas tree up top!

I also agree on tearing it down. If TxDot is actually giving us a chance to get rid of it then we should definitely take it
-
I like the four diamonds at the top. I hope they change colors

The article says Willie Gs is going here. Guess their Post Oak lot is going to be up for redevelopment soon

what is the historic significance of that blue house?
-
I like that it's not blocking the Magnolia Hotel, the way they positioned it

what goes on the first few floors, I mean, could people have views of the side of the garage?
-
sorry to be a dumb, but what is the history of these houses? I guess I could wait until the Nau Center opens to find out

Frida's is leaving?!

What's the diagonally oriented building at Lamar and LaBranch just to the southwest of the park? I realize it's just a potential scenario from 2011 or so, but so many other items from the proposal seem to be based on some fact. My apologies if I missed this somewhere else.
I believe the lot you are referring to is currently just a parking lot. there were rumors several years back about a "Two Park Place" building going there, so maybe that building put in the rendering was wishful thinking, or something to do with that? I'm surprised that with all the residential activity going on in downtown, that the lot south of One Park Place doesn't even seem to be attached to any upcoming projects, at least not that I know about

I didn't realize there were still that many parking lots on Main. I guess it's more noticeable to me seeing it from an overhead perspective than seeing it from the street level perspective

In the above picture, is the land that was acquired for phase two of this development shown? I'm not sure of where phase two is going. is it that patch of dirt next to Target?
-
Did they put the Christmas tree up top yet?

I just found out Morgan (and also Camden) are based in Houston, so good for them. And this looks like a nice project, I'm liking the Pearl series
