Looking at the pictures, and this is random, but did they turn the Embassy Suites into a Verizon ad? Okay I find that amusing
-
I like that they included the mural in the rendering of the building

Is this the one that's supposed to be going up across from the pearl Whole Foods (the Courtlandtt I think)?

I've always wondered once MMP reaches its lifespan where would they put a new stadium? To see the area around the stadium gradually progress and then really take off here recently I would hate to see the stadium elsewhere. Don't know the politics or economics behind that but I would almost choose keeping MMP around a VERY long time if the other option was moving elsewhere like to the suburbs.
Well when the STL Cardinals built their new stadium, they built half of it next to the old stadium, then when the season was over they tore down the old stadium and built the other half of the stadium, it lessened the time the cardinals had to play in a different ballpark if I remember correctly. If they ever have to replace MMP, I hope thats the route they go, they could use the empty lots to the north (? I'm directionally challenged) if they aren't developed by then. But MMP is a nice park, it can last a long long time, as long as they keep up with tech refreshes and what not, and power wash the roof every once in awhile. No need to replace it after 20 years like globe life park

does anyone know if Randall owns the other half of the lot? I'm just wondering if he owns it or if some other developer could come in a build a tower right up against the Marlowe

That bench! I want it

Yup, because ESPN will be broadcasting from the park. good luck to them I guess

I was hoping for something that looked like the Montrose HEB, but this looks like a giant concrete wall. why not bring the store closer to Shepherd and push the garage further back? Is Lake Flato not involved with this
-
Concretes are like a dairy queen blizzard, at least that's the best way I can describe it. They take the frozen custard, add your preferred mix-ins, such as fruit or candy, then mix it with a machine and serve. So you can get the frozen custard plain, as a sundae which is the mix-ins on top, or concrete, which is the extra stuff all mixed in

Does anyone know why they decided to put the apartments at that end, instead of the park? With ESPN broadcasting from the park, it looks like they'll have a view of the apartments instead of the downtown skyline.

I hate that Bed Bath and Beyond. it's so claustrophobic and crowded, I feel like items are going to fall on me. Hope they tear it down and build a mixed use, with a brand new BB&B of course

Nice picture of the catalyst, but that's a really big white wall on the Marriott Marquis

the pictures make it look really close to sky house. is it just the angle of the pictures, or is it really that close

I think Pappadeaux is going in the corner spot across from the Hilton

I thought this one was supposed to have retail at the bottom, although I'm probably getting this confused with a different project. All I see is the garage coverings at the bottom, but still looks very nice

those parking garages though!
-
The balconies on the top several floors are larger and that's what you're seeing when it looks wider
-
Are they renovating this building or tearing it down and building a new one? Their website says each of their spaces is built from the ground up, but I guess that could just mean a full gut job

Hasn't HEB done a more urban style store in San Antonio, or at least something with a garage? I might be thinking of something that was only proposed
-
Sorry I'm distracted, but is that the look the Astoria settled on?
On topic, is Willie G's going on one of those parking lots?
-
I love that they put the garage on the Texas side so the tower doesn't block the magnolia
-
I thought Highland Park Village was in Houston. What's that area on westheimer east of ROD, I know it's High something. Of course it took me forever to not confuse Greenspoint and Greenway

or a Shake Shack!

They could put a tall stylized oil derrick looking thing there, and I'm thinking of the Oilers logo old fashioned kind, not the more modern ones, with something touristy at the top. Or would that look like too much of a rip off of the Eiffel Tower?
