Houston is featured in the movie, Draft Day. There is a nice aerial shot of Reliant Stadium with the Med Center and then downtown in the background. IMO, this is the most complete view of the Houston skyline because you get 2 of the 3 largest density clusters in one shot, an on axis. Uptown is more of a jumbled mess when compared to DT or MC and it is harder to relate that district back to the other 2.

You're actually underselling this scene, it's AMAZING!! People in the theater actually started clapping and cheering lol.  It was probably the best shot of Houston in a movie IMO

Makes sense, but I think that location is prime for something that creates street activity. I would take a watering hole

I wouldn't be upset if (38) the parking garage across the street from MMP ended up getting canceled.  Why put this directly next to the stadium???

Wow I never knew about these.  I just looked at the video and those things are pretty cool, it's a shame they are gone, you would think they could find a way to secure them to make sure they wouldn't detach

Haha, thanks for the comments yall! I was procrastinating a jazz test online lol, got an A, so no worries.  Lemme know if I've missed anything or would like to see something added. All I need is a height and address for the most part.

I didn't want to make a separate thread for this, but i heard from a "source",  that the older apartment complexes at 800 Post Oak between Uptown Park and Camden Post Oak condos are set for demolition in the near future.  Has anyone heard mentions of this as well?

This is WAYYYYYY to early to even ask, but I will make a general question: When a disaster like this happens to a property under construction, do developers usually rebuild? I am sure insurance will play a role. I just don't know if we should expect this to be an empty lot again..

I wondered the same thing
