So people treating the Heights as an investment tool want more say than people who actually live there. Fabulous concept. How's that shadow commission coming along? You guys just aren't doing a good enough job getting your very important message out.

It is obvious to even the most casual observer that three or four of you have dedicated your lives to exposing the historic commission. That is astonishing. However, the real tragedy here is not your chosen cause but rather that only five or six people read your impassioned posts. So while this echo chamber may be very loud, it just isn't seen by enough people. How will the good people ever learn about the brainwashing and corruption and oppression unless you take it to the public? I propose that you start a shadow commission, you can hold it out in front of the downtown library. It would be a great way to bring more publicity to your opinions and viewpoints, but with less anonymity and probably a lot more hyperbole. I'm sure you will be well received by the audience. You could even sell tickets and raise a little money!

Brie- why would you question your investment? I'm not following. You wanted to build your camelback, it eventually was approved, and you are now constructing your camelback. If your worst fears are realized, ie, no more camelbacks approved(?)' it seems your value could only go up more because there would then be less camelbacks for people who cannot live in less than 2k feet, thus making your home more valuable.

My comments are mean spirited? Please consult a dictionary. Seriously. You are arguing, I'm pointing out the flaws in your argument. I have no interest in "debating" you because (a.) I've cruised these boards long enough to know your bias and motivation, (b.) I'd never engage in battle with an unarmed man (feel free to take that as annoyed, veering toward mean spirited) and (c.) there is no debating you because that would assume you would be willing to listen to and consider an opposing viewpoint. You think a tree obscured five story plus sixth roof top deck surrounded by townhouses condo building apparently being erected in some imaginary location is appropriate for my street. Bully for you. I happen to think that the actually being built unobscured 5 story plus rooftop deck condo is seriously out of scale for my street. Bully for me. Hurry up and respond.

Are you referring to the 4 attempts at historically correct new construction and thee modern construction residences, 6 of which are single family homes? I am glad to hear you think the 36 unit five story plus rooftop deck condos fit the scale my street. Your not-fact based opinion sure means a lot. And, thanks for offering your not-fact based opinion in response to my comment about the general negativity and mean tone of many of the posts on the Heights boards.

If you are going to mock me and my neighbors for not wanting a five story plus sixth story rooftop deck condo building erected by a less than honest builder, be accurate when doing so. FYI- assuming my photo attached, this is a shot of the framing of the first two stories- three more plus a rooftop deck are still coming. Note the single family home.

Redscare- I am not sure what debate you are referring to but I know you aren't talking about the 5 story plus 6th story rooftop deck condo building going in on my street. First, what trees do you believe obscure the Morrison condos? All of the trees on that lot were cleared before construction began. There are no trees. Second, what townhouses are you referring to? Yes, there are townhouses on Houston Ave, behind the Morrison condos and yes there is one townhouse lot comprising two townhouses around the bend on Morrison. So, there are a total of two townhouses on Morrison, and they are not contiguous to the condos. But even still, even if there were trees on that site which obscured the condos and even if all of the residences around it were townhouses, what's your point?
