I did find some facts about the Los Angeles subway system, not including the light rail. The purple line is 6.4 miles, and the red line is 16.4 miles. The ridership is as of 2013 164,214 a day. The cost of these two lines was $5.5 billion! We cannot even build a light line. I agree with Slickvick build inner city light rail that connect to commuter rail. Subways are too expensive. We need to be a world class city with all kinds of transit, but it is to late to build a extensive subway system.

There is no secret, Skanska is tearing it down for the new skyscraper.

OMG! Southampton residents will not like this either!

They will get sunrise sun since it is facing east. Urbannizer said there could be a pool on the top floor. Which that could be very HOT with sun almost the whole day until it sunsets to the west.

The next meeting is May 15th. The speaker will be Patrick Walsh the COH director of the planning.

Well I will not live that long, but it is a nice Happy Hour to socialize. It's from 5:30 to 7:30 at Rudyards upstairs and you can get a lot of information about traffic, walkability, parks and what we want in our city. Try to make it very interesting.

I think it is feasible because they may have got a tenant. We do not need all tall skyscrapers over Market Square with no sun light! Good for the summer! But 609 Main was 41, then 47, now 49 flours. So I believe they have a tenant. Tenants want LEED silver, gold, or platinum office buildings. That is why BG Group Place and Skansa off Post Oak had no tenants. They are now sold a fully leased.

I talked to a friend from Atlanta. He said nobody wants to live the city. That is why Atlanta's population is 443,775 number 40 on the populated list. Everyone else live in the burbs. Ted Turner wants to move the Braves to Cobb County. Is there a reason why?

Sorry only today till 5. They should have Earth Days!
-
Went to Earth Day at Discovery Green and METRO has a tent there. I was told they have a plan to build the University Line. She also said the other two lines should be operational in August. She said the rails cars are delayed. They making them in in Albany, NY and flew up there to get a update on the rail cars. I think they have Earth Day tomorrow also. I would stop by there a lot of information there. Lost of frebbies and they have food trucks there.

Well they had to fly to Sydney to refuel with 4 hour layover with a 747-400. Now they can do non stop to MLB. And there are 55 more 787s coming.
-
Very excited it rolled out this morning. You can see the link on unitedcontinentalholdings.com. It will fly on domestic markets until they start LAX to MLB in October.

Could be $15 billion at the least. We cannot even build light rail. The Boston Dug was more than that.
