The new Training ship will be an incredible asset to the Texas Maritime Academy and for the whole Gulf Coast.   The Maritime Administration (who owns the training vessels) has struggled to find and place a suitable, reliable, training vessel, after the original TS TEXAS CLIPPER was retired.  It can be said, that even she was not very reliable...if not obsolete.   But, she was a beautiful ship.  I spent three summers on her and countless hours maintaining her, traveling as far as Greece on our training cruises.
